Good article. It is a bit sad that they’re considering demolishing this specific area of MK. I guess that they feel that this area can be better used if there were at least one ride from a movie that a lot of people like. Still, my feeling is that guest behavior is a factor in Disney’s choice of demolishing this iconic area of MK. If only people would behave appropriately then maybe certain rules and regulations would have to be so massively enforced and areas like Tom Saywer Island might be spared. But no, some people really are stupid. Who the He@! would swim in these waters knowing that this was once swamp land and that gators could still be swimming in these waters (or at least closely). Oh well. They’re getting rid of Dinoland USA in AK. I love the Dinosaur ride. It’s so unique and the only Dinosaur related attraction in Disney. Now they’re getting ride of it. Sad!!!!!
How sad. They’re getting ride of River of America. AWWW!!!! Why!!!! Oh well!!!! I guess that they feel that this area of MK will be of better use if they demolish it for a new land/attraction. Maybe, it can also be because of the crowd size in the last few years it’s been beyond crowded. I also agree that the way some of the guests have been behaving is a contributing factor of this decision that Disney took to put a Cars related attraction here. I mean really!!! Taking off your close and going swimming when you have no clue if there is alligators in that water. What idiots!!!!! Geez!!!!! This is a sad loss for all the fans of the Waters of America/Tom Sawyer Island area. Sad. I just hope that this design by Disney to do this is worth it. That they really build something unique, trilling (but that all family members can ride it), fast (not too fast though), and well built.
Some guests will never know how to act in public. It wouldn’t hurt to have actual police roaming around so the violators could be immediately arrested, not just asked to leave the park. In cases like that, they’ve learned nothing! As usual.
