If she didnt fit in the ride restrainrs she didnt fit! Whats the question here?? Does she expect them to let her ride without the restrainrs on?? My ex could not fit inder the pull down restraint on space Mountain in Disneyland while sitting in the first car. No matter how hard they tried pushing down on the over the shoulder bar. They had to push the entire xar full of riders off the track around the corner to let us off so he could sit in another seat that had extended straps. They told him he shoukd not try to sit in the front of any ride vehicles because of his size he is 6’4″ and 250 lbs. . While it was embarrassiimg it was a no brainer for his and everyones safety to move him.

People get mad when they can’t ride something but it’s for everyone’s safety. Cedar Fair (now Six Flags) has seen their fair share of “accidents” causing both death and serious injury. I don’t think they want anymore of this publicity

  3. Why not special seating for overweight or larger/taller people? If you can deal with other people… why not all?

It isn’t always just the seating, the restraints are designed for overall safety, in the case of a taller person, there may be ride elements that come too close for taller people. But I also wish they would design more accommodating restraints and rides.

Overall height isn’t the issue. It’s the length of the torso (one’s sitting height). I have a longer than average torso, and having the shoulder restraint closed on one non roller coaster ride severely bruised my collar bone. If your don’t fit, it’s better to just avoid the ride.

Would she rather squeeze herself in a seat and have the safety restraints come open halfway thru the ride? The rules are for everyone’s safety. I’m glad they are enforcing the rules. They should look into making the rides a few inches bigger for taller people

A teenager died on an attraction in Orlando a few years ago because an employee overrode the attraction’s safety restraint system. (The teenager had already been turned away at other attractions at the park because of his size.) The safety restraint did not lock properly and the teenager fell from the ride. If you don’t fit, be thankful when employees will not let you ride.
