  1. There is only one segment of the Native Americans (or do we say Neverland Natives–Neverland is not America), they are sitting on a hill in a circle. Are they removing the Indian encampment? That doesn’t take months. What will be in it’s place?

    1. Nathan

This is ridiculous! Walt is spinning in his grave!

    2. Steven

      “Woke” Disney needs to go!

      1. There is nothing culturally inappropriate about the village. Mermaids don’t resist and a boat can’t fly, and fairy dust can’t make you fly. What tribes have sent complaints?

        1. Dan

When will we stop tripping over what is behind us? History is to teach us. Trying to change it is foolish. People need to stop being sensitive and be a good person. STOP WOKE AMERICA!

          1. Amen and amen!!!

          2. This is ridiculois. Disney is bending over backwards to destroy ever ride. A few complain and Disney then either shuts diwn the ride or makes it as boring as possibke like the pathetic Tiana ride after destroying splasgh mountain.Leave the iconic rides alone and make dufferent rides for new characters. Stop with this nonsense. Soon they will take all the pirates out of pirates if the carrabieanbecause some pathetic person stated she felt like the pirares were learing at her. Hiw mental can you be….

          3. Donna

            Ditto!

          4. Phil

            Correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        2. Dawn Cowell

They are imaginary and are not real. This whole racial thing has got out of hand. The characters in the movies are just that imaginary characters. Tinker bell is a fairy not human and doesn’t need to metandhuman character.

          1. Donna

            👍🏼👍🏼

          2. Phil

            Agreed

        3. Trina Daugherty

OMG people grow up, it’s a movie, a great movie and attraction. You don’t like it don’t go! Leave us normal people to enjoy Disney. Have you seen the nasty horror on movies and TV that make millions. Its trash. Leave Disney alone.

          1. Phil

            Correct!!

        4. Michele

Enough with the woke non sense its a kids story that is made up. Its not real nor based on real events. This is destroying the disney experience.

          1. Phil

            Agreed!!!

      2. Ironmaiden319

Agreed! You couldn’t pay me to go!

      3. VicSetNC

I’m afraid Disney is going to end up Diversifing and inclusioning itself right out of business.

        1. Aj

They have already started alienating the normal population. Not to mention, pricing themselves out. Disney is the only one not seeing this. As a Florida resident I have been several times and will never step foot in there again.

      4. Rick

Disney is woke I will never attend

        1. Phil

          You won’t be missed.

      5. Lou

This is way too much. Why Don’t they just dismantle the entire freaking park. Disney needs to be purchased and all those ultra-woke extremist falt finders that they have on staff need to be fired and kicked out on their asses.

        1. Phil

          Agreed!!!!!!!

      6. Why change something that hasn’t done any harm for years & years. If this bother people than maybe they don’t need to go on it. I don’t go on the attractions I don’t care for. No harm. You can’t keep bending to everyone. Just like Pirates. You’ve just about taken the story out of that attraction.

    3. Annette Gonzales

Instead of trying to erase how Native Americans were treated and portrayed, use it to open dialogue about why this was/is wrong.

  2. Taking Indians out of Peter Pans Flight scenery doesn’t change the story as written. History will not be changed by those trying to rewrite it now. Too many guests know the truth.

    1. Peter P

I agree people need ti just shut their pie-holes. If you don’t like something then don’t be involved with it again. Period. Stop forcing your biased opinions down the rest of our throats.
I’m sorry if history offends you wackos, but that is how you learn. You don’t like? Don’t do it again. Simple. If I find a movie offensive. I just won’t watch it again. Let everyone who does enjoy it. Enjoy it.
Disney needs to stop conforming to every little cry baby. Fake hippos being shot at with a cap gun is offensive to who exactly? The plastic manufacturers? Come people. This country has lost its common sense amd I am finally fed up with it.

      1. Sunshine

        Amen!

        1. Ann

Has anyone who decided the ride (and movie) are offensive to massive tribes actually spoken to real, everyday members of a random selection of tribes and nations? Are the members of the tribes/ nations offended, or are those in woke-charge just forcing their emotional guilt onto another group.

          1. Valerie

            Totally!

      2. Debswit

For fox sake, we’re supposed to learn from history not erase it.

      3. Lesa

Agree 100% if we erase history we are setting ourselves up to repeat it. Are we going to ban all make believe and fantasy books?
Grow up people! You find it offensive, I find it funny. That’s why I’m happier than you.

    2. Jim

What’s next? I know. Amputees ate offended by Captain Hook. Does he miraculously regrow his hand or just eaten by some reptile (possibly offending vegans)
Come on people. When are we going to realize it’s not real.

    3. Lee

Absolutely. You can’t change history but you can learn from it. All this woke baloney needs to stop.

    4. Peter Pan is not real. It is make believe. That is the whole point and should just be left alone. Unless you think people can fly and fauries have pixie dust.

  3. Rox

The ride scene shoes them sitting in a circle wearing feather headdresses and beating drums. Are we now saying this is inaccurate and offensive?

  4. Mike J

We used to go to Disney at least once or twice a year. Now that they’ve gone woke, we’ve stopped patronizing all of their products and hope they go broke.

    1. JB

Keep hoping. It will never happen.

    2. frostysnowman

Good. One less person in the line.

      1. Walt

hardly just one poindexter – there are tens of thousands not going anymore.

        1. Jess

Truth! It only takes one to start change. Business are more tenuousness than ever before. BudLight is proof,

          1. Carla

STOP WITH THE POLITICAL CORRECT ATTITUDE !! These are CARTOONS,not reality. Grow up people, Disney is a wonderful, happy place to make everyone young again. It shouldn’t be reality, it shouldn’t be politically correct !!!

        2. Eloni

Next they will want to tear down the statue of Walt Disney and change the name of the park.

    3. Jane

we went every 3 month, we live in Indiana. we did this for years. we stopped because they have lost their minds and we saw the magic was dwindling.

  5. The language is made up because the Indians aren’t any particular tribe. They are a generalization. Nothing anyone in their right mind should be offended by.

    1. frostysnowman

Careful, your white privilege is showing.

    2. Doris

The world has gone mad. For every child who grew up playing cowboys and Indians, who made up secret language so the adults were befuddled ,and dreamed of flying with Peter Pan hang on to the joy of growing up with imagination and love of dreamers like Walt
We are the last sane generation and that is the saddest thing of

  6. John

All I can say is stop. My kids who are now 40and 43, my grandchildren 9,10,11,and14 have been coming to Disney world every year sometimes three times a year. Not once did I hear my kids or any kids question the Indian scene. We Keep changing things at Disney because the Karen’s of the country need to be recognized. The magic that my family knows is being crucified by the Karen’s. It’s getting old.

    1. Sunshine

Exactly. It’s a movie! I’m tired of this “woke” thing! It’s time to move on

    2. Walt

Its not the Karens – its the company. the entire organization is filled with self righteous diversity equity and inclusion idiots otherwise known as libtards

    3. Doris

      You Are right John

  7. JB

Although I wouldn’t be overly surprised if they changed or removed the scene of the “Indians” in the ride, I’m pretty sure the main reason they are closing it has nothing to do with that. I think the biggest problem with the ride is that it only seats three to four people, which is a large part of why the line is always so long. I suspect they are going to transition to larger ride vehicles that seat more people, as it would help with line flow.

    1. Ugh

They’d need more than a month to do that. Weight limit adjustments, permits, hse, etc. They’re just gonna remove the Indian scene to stay woke instead of awake. So sick of us trying to change history. It’s a damn cartoon. If you are over of the 4 people that this offend then don’t go or watch the movie. I miss splash mountain and hate this wokeness ruined it 🙁

      1. Jane

they were speeding it up when we were there last. you hardly got to enjoy it. it zoomed by.

    2. Jim

      Great idea

  8. Rob H

If the refurbishment is to alter the Indian scene, my 100% Oneida Indian long time friend would say that this is dumb. He also feels that dropping Indian references from sports teams actually takes away respect from Native Americans.

  9. No. It is a classic movie that depicted Indians life was back in the 50’s. We all know, life was looked at differently back then. If anything, it shows how far we’ve come in our thinking. Thankfully we have grown up since then. Leave it alone so today’s culture can see how we’ve changed. Besides, princess Tiger Lilly was smart and beautiful. Why must we change anything because someone is “offended”. If you are, then don’t go on the ride
. Why ruin it for the rest of us?

    1. Walt

Because the woke crowd has NO ability to create – they only know how to destroy. That is their goal. Destroy our history by pulling down statues, destroy our recreation by remaking it into their “perfect” ideals. This is the natural result of sending your kids to useless colleges for useless degrees.

      1. Suzanne Harrington

Honestly, kids don’t care. They are just excited to be there and get a chance to see their favorite characters and enjoy the magic of Disney. It’s not real – it’s fantasy. Do people feel the need to take every fairy tale and redo it? These are not real, offended people. Peter Pan has always been my favorite ride and I am sad to see them make changes. I can promise you that someone will still be offended.

      2. Mar

        Truth

      3. Patty

This is very sad to me that Disney is trying to conform to the “outside world”. The whole point of Disney is to be able to go to a place make believe and fun! You can leave all of the craziness and evils at the front gates, and then enjoy a day of fun, fantasy, and “Disney Magic”! As many other’s have already said, the ride is not real. If we are going to pick thing’s apart, then Disney would have to close all of their parks today! Children, ships & dogs can’t fly with “fairy dust”. Pirates carry machine gun’s & machetes, not hooks & pocket watches. Elephants don’t fly. Frogs/ Toads don’t drive cars. Beasts don’t have magical castles. Beautiful young women don’t have Fairy Godmothers, or magical fairies to care for them. I don’t want to shock anyone, but genies don’t come out of antique oil lamps & carpets don’t fly. This is ALL simply fantasy and fun!!! When you go to any theme park, you are supposed simply enjoy and have fun, and it’s okay if something isn’t politically correct or doesn’t make sense. That’s why they call it “make believe”. You’ll be back in reality soon enough, but for the short time in your life that your at the parks, focus on the quality time your spending with friends and family and less on what is “right or wrong” about each ride.

    2. Harvey

Walt used to fire actors for being gay. Now they have RuPauls drag race and bring your gay bud to the park. I quit going there in 1987.

  10. Lisa

It sounds like they are covering up the hanging woman at the top of the elevator on the haunted mansion…I never ever thought of lynching on that ride. I guess I do now.

    1. David

There is nothing “problematic” here. It is a cartoon based on fantasy.
Sometimes it seems that Disney execs are intentionally trying to alienate their base.

    2. Jane

wait what? seriously….omg…wow!!! wdw has lost their minds.

  11. There is nothing culturally inappropriate about the village. Mermaids don’t exist and a boat can’t fly, and fairy dust can’t make you fly. What tribes have sent complaints? As someone pointed out, it’s Neverland. Different place that was made up and not based on anything historical. Look my children grow up in a world where there are school pew pews and worse. Let’s let them pretend for awhile.

  12. Jade VR

This new generation of whining Karen’s and sensitive snowflakes has got to stop and grow up already. Finding racial insults in every single little thing, and actively seeking it out, that’s getting a bit old. It’s this how the new generations are going to be? Need to have everything all happy and non insulting in every manner possible? I’m glad I’ll be gone when a lot of the younger ones grow up.
Disney classic like this really aren’t offending or insulting anyone, just woke people viewing it that way, because they have to find issues in anything. Yet, they’re the same people that sit their children down on a computer, letting them scream insults, vulgarities, and even some very hateful and racist threats, on games like Fortnite. But that’s fine, it’s only a game. Yeah with real people playing it that they’re insulting. So, in Disney movie defense, is only an animated movie.
But that’s not ok, right? Hypothetical whining is all I see anymore.

  13. I have a bit of a big tummy, so Mr. Smee should be removed.
    I’m so offended. Not

  14. RG

Ridiculous. Once again trying to change things that don’t need to be.
What will it really change? It’s a cartoon. Ther are many cartoons that could be interpreted as offensive.
If it offends you, don’t watch it or go on the ride.

  15. GH

And Walt is rolling over in his cryogenic coffin. I knew this would happen which is why I bought the DVD years ago. Same thing with Swiss Family Robinson and Dumbo. The stories are being sterilized and losing all the magic. The company needs to listen to the silent majority cause we’re the ones buying tickets, or not. Dollywood, here I come.

  16. Frank

The reason birds fly is they take themselves lightly. Children usually do the same. Walt knew that. Good natured laughter was the desired result. After all is It’s a cartoon.
Adults keep out and let them play. Oh, and keep the racist remarks from the dinner table. Children are taught to hate so stop the woke nonsense.

  17. Tml1025025

Based on Disney’s cultural sensitivity I would recommend Aladdin be censored as it denigrates Arabic culture.

  18. Ed

Tierd of it all, maybe it’s time to stop annual passes, DVC. THERE IS ALWAYS UNIVERSAL, DOLLYWORLD. Such a pity.

  19. Rosa

Disney should leave “Peter Pan” just as it was made. The people who are complaining need to realize “You can’t Change History” and get over it. History can’t be “Erased”!!! I wonder what Walt would think? Truly a sad world we are living in when disturbed people can’t do anything but complain about simple things like “Cartoons”! It’s so sad that our world has came to this.

    1. Spence

I agree with the majority of the comments. Leave the ride alone its adapted from a book which gives the reader to make up what they want the characters to be and talk how they want

  20. Del

Whom ever might be complaining needs to get over themselves, this is a bunch of crap. And if Disney wants to stay alive it needs to get unwoke, especially at the prices they’re charging now. What a joke!

  21. Dave

You can tell where the world is going these days when you realize there are more crybabies who are adults than children these days.
Alice was tripping on acid and I did drugs in the seventies and I am so offended!
    Give me a break!!
    Football! Disney!! What’s next?
What are you going to complain about when there’s nothing left because you complained it all away?
I think people should just relax and enjoy life and stop being little crybabies!
It’ll make the world fun again instead of the prison it’s becoming!!
    Just My Opinion

  22. Frank

I am sick and tired of woke people within Disney erasing the history of Disney! It is make belief! When I was young we played as cowboys and Indians all the time. It wasn’t meant as derogatory, it was play! The Native Americans are part of our history and what does Disney want them to be instead? No head dresses, feathers, bows and arrows? That is part of their history, why erase it! Unbelievable

  23. Tired of the few woke folks and Disney management caving to them ! It’s finally time to say bye to Disney . Walt to me is truly deceased..( his vision )….my he rest in peace .

  24. Will Disney woke management add a casino to the Indian village you see on the train ride around Disney in FL ?

  25. Denis Riley

WDW is my never go land.

  26. Magnum

Seriously can we just grow up already? It’s a ride. It’s been there for hundreds of years. Sorry I’m native American and I do not care. I rode the ride several times and not offended at all. Maybe big mouths just need to grow up

  27. Gregory L Donoghue

    More Woke BS!

  28. Mary Stepleton-Hitt

I will not be going to Disney anytime soon with this WOKE insanity. I cannot believe there has been massive concern from any tribal elders. If Walt Disney were here, he would be firing the imbeciles who allow pronoun sensitivities, rewrites of his classics, and now Peter Pan reimagined! You are “woking” yourself out of business!

  29. Jim

This woke trashing has got to STOP!
They see issues in everything and ruins everything for those who love the classic stories from the past. Disney is losing millions of fans and dollars. Walt must be spinning in his grave.
Don’t like it, it offends your sensitivities… DO NOT GO. DO NOT WATCH.

    1. What pathetic person would pay a bunch of money to stand in long lines in the hot sun to ride a bunch if woke rides that have been basic for the babies who cant handle fairy tales and have to make an unneeded issue about every single thing. Guess people with small minds that have nothing else to do.

  30. Richard

If they think it’s problematic to keep this simplified depiction of a culture in Peter Pan’s Flight, they would have to shut down It’s a Small World instantly as it is based on clichés of cultures from around the world. Not all children of the represented countries dress and look like the stereotypes shown in the ride.

  31. Jane

wait what? seriously….omg…wow!!! wdw has lost their minds.

  32. Martha

Peter pan abducted, Alice in Wonderland everyone was on hallucinating drugs. Bugs Bunny was a cross dresser. Missing children from the park by employees were found in the tunnels. Never been there, never will I go.

  33. Denise

It’s the few and far in-between that have any problems with this. I am an old timer and I remember the classic Disney when I was a kid in the 70s. I have no desire anymore to patronize them or their wokeness

  34. BigK24

is there any move, show, program, or other form of entertainment anywhere that doesn’t offend someone? every joke happens at someone’s expense, every history portrays a winner and loser at someone’s expense. How many movies and shows portray dad as a goof, scientists as nerds, government as evil (well ok that may be true), or lawyers as human?

  35. Alice

No, it’s a child’s make believe story. For heavens sake what is going on in this Country.

  36. Dani

I guess I will put in my 2 cents worth of thought on this issue. Peter Pan, Pinnochio, Humpty Dumpty, Cinderella… the list goes on and on. The stories of Nursery Rhymes is make believe. It opens the minds of those who read about them, watch them in a movie or TV show, how to dream, and in the saying, “Anything your heart desires, your dreams come true”. I believe it was Jiminey Cricket was the one who sang the song.
If we are to change the way something is being portrayed from decades before woke became a household name, then in this case we would be seeing Peter Pan taking wendy and her brother’s to Neverland and instead of Portraying Indians sitting in a circle around a campfire, they will have to portray them sitting in a big chair looking out over the casino floor, making millions of dollars off of other peoples ethnicities. For the record, I have come across many Native American, indigenous, or whatever title you place on them, but when I have looked up indigenous people, they are isolated people and will kill anyone who comes within close contact. Check out the Sentineleas (spelling?) Living off the grid on their own island. It is listed as one place no one is ever allowed to visit.

  37. Absolutely not ppl need to get some back bone and quit complaining about every little thing this ride is great just the way it is and im sick and tired of pll ckaming there fillings are being hurt suck it up leave these rides alone they have gave us much enjoyment through the years stop trying to change every little thing in this world thats been here forever you don’t like it stay at home!!!!!

  38. Steve

There’s no change happening and the Indians aren’t going anywhere

  39. Joesph

Everyone needs to stop complaining about whats going on with culture and start worrying about whats happening to your nations.

  40. Kaye

Please leave it alone! I will be there in August, but not in time for Peter Pan’s opening. This makes me very sad, I won’t be able to fly with Peter, Wendy, Michael, and Johnathan!

  41. Adam Wolf

    You can’t change history
    Move on

  42. This whole theme is based on the book! Are they still changing literature because their feelings are hurt?? Boo hoo! What a bunch of whiners! No! Do not do this to a fabulous story loved by 98% of us who love this!!!

  43. Dwayne

I hear ya i gruw up on all the stuff deemed not appropriate. Im 60. Im fine all this nneds to stop . These people will never like anything. My wife and i would love it if the woke stuff and everything else stopped . Disney and other places keep catering to them STOP IT

  44. Juan

Pan is a “fantasy” adventure, not real. The world of pan and it’s people don’t exist in really no matter how much it may portray a certain group.

  45. Gary Buck

First, we removed parts of the history when we removed the statues of Confederate generals, etc. These are things we need to teach about so it doesn’t happen again.
Now they’re attacking Disney’s Peter Pan ride because of the Indian scenes. Come on people, get a life!! Walt must be rolling in his grave!!! This world is falling apart and we need to fix it!!

  46. Jeff Cole

I find all the pride and gay rights crap offensive.

But I don’t see it going away anytime soon
