When I read about the lost child at Disney, I felt so bad for the child and the parents, but the parents should have kept a tight hold on the child. My husband was babysitting his little nephew once and he had to go to the mall for something important and he told his nephew to stay with him, well, he looked away for one second and his little nephew ran off somewhere to hide from his uncle. It took him a while to find him and he was scared to death about it!
The next time he was asked to babysit, he had an elastic rope-like belt which.he tied around his nephew and himself. Some of the shoppers in the mall made rude comments to him about it, but he explained what happened the first time and some of them understood. Whenever you’re in a crowded, busy place like Disney or any place, tie a long rope around the child and tie it around yourself too. Maybe a little life-saving thing to put around their neck? Kids nowadays, do not listen and don’t like to be told what to do.

Always take their picture and keep it with you…also give the child a whistle to blow if he becomes lost and an arm band connected to your arm. Help him identify park people that he can go to if he is lost .Ask the person helping him till you get to him to call another park person so he is protected from bad people acting as parl workers.

Disney should look to the past how the 1964-65 NY world’s fair successfully handled lost children.
