This isn’t going to be popular, but sleeping in their cars is not the ONLY solution, they could get roommates and share the housing costs.
Also, why does everyone think that every job out there is supposed to pay enough to live off of? Sorry, but theme park jobs (and fast food jobs) are more for say college students and such, it is not meant to be a life long career. Sure. under certain circumstances that might be doable, but come on consider it for what it actually is.
That being said, with the prices Disney is charging these days they can certainly pay more.
Then you propose Disney being staffed by a never ending stream of college kids rather than experienced cast members? You are conflating entry level jobs and historically low barrier jobs with that of cast members, this is a huge fallacy.
Your saying putting on a character suit is hard lol is more laughable. If it includes singing or something with actual skill than I would say they deserve more but most of the jobs at Disney are just like fast food workers. I’m literally at Disney world as I am writing this reply and can tell you unless your doing this jobs to move up a from there don’t expect to be able to live off the pay. Here at Disney world they have roommates and so that way they can afford to live and work which is what these workers need to figure out
