I usually bring my own large brim hat or uv umbrella, large steel cup full of ice water, you can ask for ice in some places as a refill and a personal fan and charger
Disneyland is trash. The charge $20 for water. If people drop because of dehydration its because they chose to save a lot of money while endangering their lives for a cheap experience that cost an arm and a leg.
As avid Disneyland goers, my families backpacks include refillable water bottles, energy snacks, sun visors. We find shade and rest frequently. Wear good walking shoes and lightweight clothing that keeps you cool!

I bring frozen water bottles (minimum 3 liters) as they melt always have cool water. Broad brim hat, sun umbrella, wear light colored clothing that is thin and baggy and lots of sun screen. Stay away from soda will dehydrate one. When overheating find shade or do window shopping in air conditioned shops. Cali is in early heat wave at least the next week. Anaheim is not immune to the excessive heat. Norm is in higher 80’s generally but now in 90’s no wind and feels way hotter because of the concrete and crowds of people.
Be prepared and 😉
Cooling towels, battery operated fans and we bring in frozen drinks (water and gaterade). Make sure to bring Pedialyte powder or gateralyte to help with dehydration.
The question came up, so here ya go: 80+ degrees can be more intense because Disneyland has a ‘burm’ around it and captures the heat…all day! It can really put a dent in your Good Time! I have a battery operated fan, hat, visor, water (save your bottles from Star Wars Land!) aspirin, and if you take meds, include that, too. Ya never know…
I was just at Disneyland for the 4th. It’s always good to bring a large Hydro flask or Stanley cup and fill with ice. And take a backpack that can carry it. Use the map on the app to find a bottle refill station or ask any attendant. You can also get cups of ice from any food court to refill. I think what people aren’t prepared for is the walking combined with 85 degree weather. My family put in 18,000 steps per day at each park. That will get you fatigued combined with a warm day. Also, take breaks in air conditioned areas like dining rooms.
