I would hate to think that we’ve chased Disney out of Florida…wow. And sorry to say but don’t believe DiSantis made so big a deal to lose favor in Disney.

    1. Cynthia Cole

Good!! Though simply moving their trafficking operations to another state is disturbing. The corruption and lawlessness in that company is beyond the pale. We no longer allow our young children to go into that world. And while I find that very sad In some ways The safety.
Of my children is of the utmost importance and I hope they move disney as far away from florida as they can get. The greed and debauchery connected with that company is truly frightening.

      1. Janis

You do realize that Disney is the largest employer and taxpayer in the state?
Reedy Creek maintenance, taxes and improvements were all on Disney, not the Florida taxpayers. Yeah, DeSantis sure made a shrewd move.

        1. You do realize that it was in fact a good move because Disney actually had the right to build a nuclear power plant. They can’t even keep their rides running. Would you really like them playing with nukes

          1. Amy

I don’t care about what people say but I hate Ron Desantis. I think he needs to mind his own business. There are more important things that he could be focusing on. Like people that ar

          2. Aunt Polly

Maybe you should try practicing what you preach, Walt.

        2. Gush

Disney NEVER PAID ONE CENT OF REAL ESTATE TAXES TO THIS STATE, WHEN THEY MADE REEDY CREEK, THEY REZONED SWAMPLAND TO BUILD, THEY NEVER DID ANYTHING FOR THIS STATE AND
,MADE BILLIONS , AND DESTROYED THAT PART OF FLORIDA AND ALL OF OUR ROADS AND WATER SUPPLY
how much did that cost ME.O WAS HERE BEFORE AND AFTER,.

          1. Jade VR

And you typing in all caps is going to make you so much better in the comments. Hey everyone! Listen to this person , and their words, because they’re using ALL CAPS so that makes them something special.
Stop with that,.it’s really annoying and went out years ago. This isn’t some 4-chan forum

          2. Susan Wade

So are you saying that Florida in no way benefited from having Disney in their state I’m sure there’s probably 49 other states that would be more than happy to take the burden of Disneyland off of their hands you do realize that the only way most States cities and counties get all these big businesses to locate within their confines offer them all that Disney was offered perhaps you need to actually look and do some research you’d probably be pretty shocked at what most of these big businesses are offered but in the long run Florida has extremely benefited from having Disney within their state

          3. walt

HOw can you HATE Ron DeSantis – you don’t even know him. Seems the whole country could tone their rehtoric in light of recent events. I’m sorry I misspoke – THE UNHINGED LEFT.

        3. Elizabeth Kingsbury

I hope your taxes go so high you can no longer afford to live comfortably there btw you do know you have a choice to take or ‘not’ rake your kids there but you don’t have a choice of how much you pay in taxes I hope they move & you get to see how screwed you will be when they do!

        4. CeCe

They don’t !!! Too busy driving the red kool -aid you forgot there are no critical thinkers here!

      2. Stephanie Chapin

Trafficking that is a lie. I suppose you consider yourself a Christian. Obviously the 10 commandments mean nothing to you

      3. MB

        My feelings exactly!

      4. Jade VR

Well you’re not getting that wish, no matter how many stars you wish upon. Disney isn’t leaving Florida (which if you read this story you’d know) and I’m sure they’re going to continue to entertain people.for.years to come. Your kids being there or not, go ahead and keep them “safe” from the world.

      5. Millions of folks are not worried about Disney and care less if a few closed minds keep their brats away from the park. It will likely create a more pleasant atmosphere for the rest of those who will continue many repeat journeys there.

      6. Wes

You have lost your mind. That’s assuming you ever had a grasp on reality to begin with

    2. Bob

      Disney not going anywhere

    3. Tom

Disney’s not going ANYWHERE. You obviously didn’t read to the end where it says ‘Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) have joined forces with Walt Disney World Resort for an ambitious $17 billion expansion project. This collaborative agreement, crafted by both parties, outlines detailed provisions specifying minimum investment allocations over a 15-year term.’
$17 BILLION investment and you think they are leaving ????????? Come on man.

    4. Buford

The title, “Don’t Say Gay” is a fraud. The actual bill makes no such mention. Why don’t you ornt the truth?

      1. G-Lopez

You are 100% correct. There in not and never has been a “Don’t Say Gay Bill” here in Florida.
When you read/hear a reporter use that term you know they are trying to deceive people by showing their own ignorant or biased (or both).

        1. MaineCoonCats

Then how would you describe the bill based by the Fla legislature?

          1. Aunt Polly

Have you ever noticed…people who love to complain that the bill is inappropriately nicknamed “Don’t Say Gay” are never able to give examples of what you actually can and can’t say. Because they legit don’t know.

          2. Marie

The bill states that in schools, up to age 10, that teachers MAY NOT discuss sexual preferences or topics in the classroom, NO MATTER IF GAY OR STRAIGHT. However, if a kid pops up with a question, or wants to talk about their family, that is fine, AS LONG AS the kid initiated the conversation.

The kids can talk about their gay parents or relatives all they want.

          3. Aunt Polly

They’ve since reworded the bill from the original version due to backlash, causing DeSantis and his minions to cave and make changes to clarify the text. The original wording was vague, and the “Don’t Say Gay” nickname was very much deserved in its early days when DeSantis first touted a bill containing text that raised more questions than it answered. It was all theatre anyway, since legislation already existed on the books that forbade classroom discussion of sexual topics under a certain age. DeSantis was all about the optics, so he manufactured a narrative that suggested he was “creating” laws to battle the alt-right’s twisted definition of woke. Critical thinkers who don’t blindly accept spoon-fed news know better.

      2. Marie

Exactly. And it covers BOTH gay and straight. But some people don’t want to read the 5 whole pages of the bill for the truth.

    5. Not-a-sheep

Cue the liberal snowflake tantrums in 3… 2… 1… ⬇️

    6. William Rizzo

Disney went woke so I hope it goes broke. I’ll spend my money at Universal Studios instead

      1. MaineCoonCats

Kiss all that revenue from Disney goodbye…that helps fund your state ‘s infrastructure.

      2. Jade VR

It won’t go broke, and definitely not going to be crying over your dollars, so useless to sit here and threaten to take your money to somewhere else to us. Just do whatever you do, don’t need to try and draw attention

      3. Wes

So what exactly is being woke?

        1. Aunt Polly

Don’t expect an adequate answer to that, Wes. You’re better off making Google your friend and researching it for yourself, as the definition has gotten twisted and reshaped to suit the narrative of a minority contingent of haters.

    7. MaineCoonCats

Well, actually he did whether you believe it or not.

    8. Ann

I would not mind at all if they exited Florida. They can move to a blue state and pay their horrible taxes.
DeSantis did not create their problems. Disney did it to themselves. I am sure Gov. Desantis can find a real family oriented theme park to take their place. Many people have stopped giving their money to a company that continues to indoctrinate and doing it quietly. Add to that, their prices are way to high for a family vacation. They thought they would never be caught and they were. Nothing stays hidden when you are doing something not right. Every thing happens for a reason and Florida will be just fine without Disney, should they leave…

      2. Susan Wade

It’s funny that you use the word indoctrinate that’s exactly what DeSantis has done to the State of Florida he has decided what’s best for children and people he is the one who is indoctrinating the citizens of the state…..What does it mean to indoctrinate someone?
: to teach (someone) to fully accept the ideas, opinions, and beliefs of a particular group and to not consider other ideas, opinions, abe

    9. Samantha

Ehh house of mouse can got to a left leaningg state. Poor people can’t afford to go there anyways. They have effectively eliminated the audience the park was built for. All for.the love of money.

      1. Samantha

        Go to*

  2. Nan

Disney doesn’t want a peice of the pie, they want it all.
The millions you take in isn’t enough, get over it your not above our laws.

    1. JP

      “Piece”

      1. Eva

        Are you happy now

      2. Mickey Frat

        Spelling police lmao

        1. Janis

Nothing wrong with correct spelling, unless you favor illiteracy

      3. JP

Thank you JP, this was very insightful and added a lot of deep thinking to the comment section.

      4. Ed

JP, you forgot to mention that it’s “you’re”!
        🤣😉

    2. Brian Johnson

Disney nrdidn’t say they were above the law. DeSantis is close to thinking he is all that, the thing is he isn’t all that.

      1. Brian Johnson

I hate my phone some times. Disney didn’t say they were above the law. DeSantis is close to thinking he is all that, the thing is he isn’t all that.

        1. David

I’d love to see Walt Disney World move their headquarters to Pennsylvania in Lancaster or York county and run the park in Orlando Florida

        2. Tom

Disney having their own Government is as close as one can get to being above the law. We will know in 10 years if DeSantis move was a good one for FL or not. However Disney is NOW investing $17 BILLION in the Park. Must be a bad thing according to you.

          1. Janis

Don’t spend your dollars just yet. Disney will maintain their investments but everything in Florida will be accomplished cautiously. And once DeSantis is out of the picture, things could change again. Contrary to what his ‘little man’ mentality thinks, he is not going to be governor forever.

          2. Jack

DeSantis is a moron. Disney paid for their own police, fire and infrastructure. Now it’s all on the taxpayer. Party of small government?

        3. MaineCoonCats

DeSantis is forcing his religious beliefs and opinions on the rest of the state…at the expense and detriment of Florida’s economy.

      2. Nettie Oliver

I’m with Disney, I’d love to see Disney. I’d love to the west coast or more central location in the states but NOT Texas!

        1. S.Brengard

          Texas would not take them.

          1. Meme

First of all, people, the bill does NOT say “don’t say gay”. Liars and those wanting to cause problems say that. Secondly, FL won’t lose Disney – it’s not FL that is causing Disney’s monetary loss it is their own lack of innovation; they remake and try to reform everything it seems. Finally, everything comes to an end sooner or later – maybe Disney’s time has run out….oh, and I have lived my life near Disney and was here before it opened its doors

        2. Cynthia Cole

Yep. Texas wouldn’t put up with the crap that disney is into..

          1. Amanda

We should of let Texas leave the states when it wanted to. Then when it’s ppl are freezing to death or drowning in hurricanes we don’t have to give them a single cent. That’s the crap the rest of the country is tired of.

      3. Cynthia Cole

No. They show that they are ‘above the l aw’ in everything they do. And if you would pull your head out of the sand and pay attention your would see what a corrupt criminal organization it is. Unless you are of the mind that human trafficking is a-ok with you.

        1. Chuck

Human trafficking? Really now !! What proof do you have of that ….

          1. Dikkiesmalls

She’s got none, but what she saw on FB and tik Tok probably.

        2. Jade VR

LOL! Corrupt criminal organization! Now THAT’S hilarious. Aww, is not being able to afford to go because it’s too expensive a crime to you? Heh… You’ve got a lot to learn about criminalization. They’ve not done anything against the law, except fight for what they had against DeSantis.
You make it sound like they’re trading children on the markets, like something out of Pinocchio’s pleasure island. However, hearing your ideals of being a criminal organization, by being, oh, an entertainment industry, and a business, I see that it’s not the kids that are the “donkey” here.
People need to stop trying to find every little detail to turn this company into some dark underworld crime syndicate. Bottom line, you think of it this way, and don’t like it, don’t DEAL with it. Not so hard to do, now is it? What a joke. I’ll be sure to let the Don of Disney know you’re clearly onto them. XD

    3. Dub

      Agree 100%.

    4. Nina

      And “you’re” not “your”.
      Florida education system?

      1. Jade VR

And this is what you’re concerned about? Affecting your life that much, is it? These comments have become a bigger issue than anything supposedly being done by Disney. Sad.

  3. Nancy

    A little touchy aren’t we.

    1. Sooner than later, Ronnie will be gone, and Disney will survive. Can’t happen fast enough though.

      1. S.Brengard

Florida is now a RED state. Ron my leave at some point … but will only be replaced with another GOP conservative Governor.

      2. Cynthia Cole

Oh my. Another one who loves pedowood!

        1. Tom

You talking about Joe Biden again. You know he like little girls.

      3. SnowFlake

Rather you leave. Go back to California. Thanks to Ronnie 😉

  4. Maureen

No one is mentioning the children that disappeared to Jeff Epstein as he owned a nice large compound on the edge of the park. Imagine the money there??

    1. Cynthia Cole

      Least.
Way forget that disney cruise line would always make a stop at epstein’s pedal island so the children could scuba dive and they could drop off product. And for those who have no clue , the product was children

  5. Chris

Disney won’t move. Half or more of their business comes from well-to-do Latinos from all the Central and South American nations who find it convenient to fly into Miami and Orlando and whose number one destination is Disney.

    1. Doc

What a joke. They are expanding Jeffrey’s because it makes money and they have been bleeding money like crazy. They recently committed billions more to expansion, so they are going nowhere. It’s laughable to think they could relocate the parks and hotels. Bottom line Desantis called their bluff and Disney backed down.

  6. Eva

    Are you happy now

  7. Dub

After some research on 3 jobs listed at disney, these are my findings. Figures reflect a 10% tax on wages.
    $28,350, $31,500 & $35,900.
Average rent for 1 bedroom in Orlando is $1,600.00. Add utilities, gas, etc. Doesn’t leave much left.
Disney makes billions while their employees suffer.
As far as I’m concerned, don’t care if I ever go there again. Overrated & overpriced.

    1. Mickey Frat

      Agreed

    2. Cynthia Cole

Don’t forget the cartel members who also love disney

      1. Amanda

        Take your meds.

        1. AMANDA

Amanda, have you looked in a mirror? From reading your earlier comments you sound like someone who has their head up their butt, sniffing farts for years. I’m deeply concerned at your mentality.

  8. Ben

Disney is just one enormous tourist trap that is extraordinarily over priced!!
The Mouse House was taught a HUGE LESSON BY THE BEST GOVERNOR FOR THE FREE & ETHICAL STATE OF FLORIDA!!
Governor DeSantis is adored by the vast majority of Florida’s morally responsible citizens that want to protect our children from these fringe left-wing WOKE activists!! I personally will never spend one penny in that Tourist Trap Cesspool! Happiest Place My A**!! Just an over priced theme park is all they are today Vs what Disney Wotld was when Walt still ran the business back in the day!

    1. Mickey Frat

Any negativity in what DeSantis thankfully accomplished with Disney is delusional. Read some of the twits tweets get a good lmao! Please we have enough out of state riffraff visit enjoy the state but please don’t move here. We would have lower taxes if we made Disney pay there fair share.

    2. Gwynn

Sorry no he us not adored here in Florida. He is a jerk that’s why he’s not running for the president. He got truly boo’d out. Wish he could get boo’d out of office here before he does more damage.

      1. Not woke

Yes, he is loved by true Floridians

      2. Don

DeSantis is popular. Feel free to leave if you don’t like it. The guy he beat for the job ran on a platform of instituting a state income tax.

      3. S.Brengard

Liberals like yourself don’t like him of course. But facts are facts. He was overwhelming re-elected with 60% of the vote.

        1. Cynthia Cole

That was before he showed his true colors.
While there are good things that I’ve seen that he has done for this state, I would like to see him follow through with many of his so called objectives. Last I looked there are still tranny parties for little children here. And while I will agree that he has done well in some areas…. While he has implemented some positive actions he has also showed that he is in the pockets of criminals. I would certainly choose him over a Newsome or Gretchen Whitmer!!! But would be very grateful if he would protect Florida from the illegal invasion and massive child trafficking that is out if control here. But he would rather take the funding from the Arts and Museums and legislate silly things instead of focusing on the hugh problems. He makes a lot of noise!!

        2. Jade VR

Which is clearly a major accomplishment, judging by Florida’s famously infallible voting history. Sheep follow sheep, it doesn’t always mean it’s leading them toward greener pastures. “Facts are facts.”

    3. Aunt Polly

“What Disney World was when Walt still ran the business back in the day” = non-existent. Walt died in 1966; Disney World opened in 1971. Nice grasp of history there, genius. That misinformed attitude is not surprising at all, though, from someone who embraces the “GOP echo chamber” definition of woke.

      1. Karen Kirkbride

Walt actually made the announcement of plans for WDW on October 25, 1965.
Yes, he died during the time land was being prepared, etc. But on the October date he already had prepared a pictorial map and showed the TV world that night on the show, “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color.” He started the shows on TV in the mid1950s. Also had the Mickey Mouse Club on after school so we all rushed home to watch it. Yes, I’m that old!

        1. Aunt Polly

All true, but my point still stands. Ben’s comment was “Just an over priced theme park is all they are today Vs what Disney Wotld was when Walt still ran the business back in the day!” The wording of that comment suggests that Walt Disney World was a fully operating business that Walt was overseeing “back in the day” when, in fact, it was still in the planning stages.

    4. Amanda

Lol our governor just vetoed a bipartisan agreed bill for a non contaminated water and clean water bill. He’s a piece of selfish crap.

    5. Jade VR

Tourist trap, just like so many other entertainment venues, cities, and even entire states, and sometimes countries. You going to whine and cry about the whole world too? Give it a rest. The ONLY reason this about Disney gets focused on is because they’re one of the BIGGEST companies in the world, and of course, people love to attack those types.
But there’s all kinds of other “tourist traps” all around, but those are OK, I suppose, because it’s not Disney. Lol. This is almost amusing, if it weren’t so sad… Grass touching is a thing. Might want to check that out, instead of stewing about on here, to figure out next how you’re going to attempt to “slay the giant.”

  9. Joe Nyomozo

Rightly so! I mean you can’t trust autocrats or dictators. They change their minds as it politically fits them. I wouldn’t trust Ronnie as far as I could throw him!

    1. Gwynn

      Amen to that.

  10. Stop saying “Don’t Say Gay”, it has nothing to do with that.

  11. C

DeSantis-destroying Florida by running businesses out, destroy our tourism, businesses, agriculture, education and more. He cannot get out of office fast enough so we can get someone in who will repair the damage he has done to the state.

  12. S.Brengard

Disney in 2024 is much less about kids and family and a whole lot more about Alphabet soup and its employee’s wishes. They are no longer the #1 tourist designation in the state. They are welcome to leave the state as their stance no longer aligns with the majority of the populace of the state. Of course if they change course and drop the woke corporate politics they are welcome to stay.

    1. Aunt Polly

It’s already been confirmed that they’ve invested in park expansion in the state, so they definitely aren’t planning to leave Florida, nor are they planning to eliminate “inclusion” as a policy approach anytime soon, so if their woke policies bother you, you are certainly welcome to leave the state and take refuge elsewhere.

  13. Deb

Politics has ruined everything great in this country. It’s all about power and money. Everything is corruption. It can’t just be about a place to bring your family and have fun anymore. Desantis wants to be king. It’s his way of thinking or no way. It’s a terrible situation.

  14. Daniel Samaritano

Disney isn’t going anywhere! They’re not even willing to build a fifth park in DW or build a new ride…Tron was in the plans over 5 years ago, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is just a makeover! You think they would spend BILLIONS to locate somewhere else!

  15. Shutterbug20

If Disney moved completely out of Florida it would be replaced by one or more entertainment groups. Disney needs to regain the publics trust if it wants Floridians to support it.

  16. Bob

Funny that media said the same thing when they opened up Disney parks in other countries.

  17. Laura Campbell

Disney World is not worth keeping. Why? They suck. They fired a key employee who worked there using her talent and expertise. She worked there 4 20 years. Using covid as an excuse she lost everything. Her retirement job, benefits. They hate anything good and out 4 themselves. This is fact. The are brutal. Let my sister suffer without warning or mercy. Now my sister cannot right now, afford to live with her 3 children normally because they tool her lively hood away. And the don’t care about her 3 kids either. Only their own crappy evilness cold-hearted selves.

    1. Jade VR

So personal vendetta clouding your.judgment vs. actual valid reasoning. They fired my sister, they suck, they don’t deserve to stay in business. Selfish, as you don’t think about the tons of others that have jobs thru Disney? Oh that’s right, you don’t care. You’re too self absorbed with hate to see anything but red with them. Sad that people have become so egotistical about things like that. Sorry she was let go, but that’s business life. It happens, just got to try again. Not be spiteful for life.

    2. Spank You Very Much

Your sister needs to be spanked.

  18. Bill

An entity that’s brought so much revenue into Florida should be encouraged to continue to provide entertainment, commerce, jobs and many other cottage industries attached to it, to many to name actually. Including car rental, airlines it just is the envy of any other state or country for that matter. Ron Desantis should be more concerned with maintaining the ecology as he promised he would do during his campaign. Florida’s survival depends on our oceans and fresh water resources which continues to be a major attraction for anyone coming to Florida. There’s no other state in the union that can provide as much tourism as Florida. What we have is precious. Please Ron don’t allow special interests destroy our state!

  19. Not free in Florida

Get real. Everyone loved Disney including Floridians . Many Floridians had season passes. A lot of robots, I mean people jumped on the bandwagon when the gov threw his hissy fit because they “ adore” ( follow ) whatever he dictates. Regarding pedos and traffickers let’s take a look at Gatz . Signed a Floridian .

  20. Jim

Wish Disney had never come. Their presence has not been a positive contribution. Florida would have remained more magical place without them.

  21. Sven

    Much ado about nothing.
Disney’s not going anywhere. Spinning out a few coffee shops
    … really.
    Just hype.

  22. Jim

Hey Disney did you not see the latest poll. Dollywood was voted the number one destination for families. Quess why?

  23. DU

Joffery’s Coffee? It is the worst tasting coffee ever. Big deal!

  24. Gaslighting comes to mind and the best you could do is a coffee shop. And don’t say gay is nowhere in the bill

  25. Nacy

Retired from Disney son still has some 38 years will the news stop lying Desantis is a nut he has nothing but hot air he is losing a lot support he doesn’t own Disney
Take a chill pill husband started in 1969 before it was announced Disney theyay build another park that been talked about for years but these parks won move and they have been hard since it open no I don agree with it but I don t judge

  26. Mike

Some people say how much money florida will loose. I say whats your children worth ?

  27. M

I think Disney should expand elsewhere, Florida has become unfriendly to theme parks in general and they could open a park where it’s not as affected by weather or so danged hot. As changing weather patterns bring increasingly unstable weather fewer people will chance getting their vacations cancelled. They’ll never close Disney World but I’d stop investing in that park.

  28. Amy

I can not stand Ron Desantis!! I think he has an ego the size of the planet Earth. I think he should be removed as governor. I think Ron better remember that he got married at Disney. He is a hypocrite. I don’t know how his wife can stand him. If I were her I would have left him a long time ago. I love Disney with all of my heart, I believe that I never want to go back to Walt Disney World ever again.

ppl like warm weather and other parks in Florida, Disney is losing because of their high prices!!!

When Disney proposed their special taxing district the press and the govt. Failed to tell is what that meant! WHY? it took all the land that they were buying, if the state approved the deal, out of three counties and made this special district. And gave Disney full omnipotence over all of it , called greedy creek! They were not a part of Florida any more. They gave themselves the power to rezone swamps collect taxes and spend them any way they wanted,! Disney bought mostly swamp and unbuildable land .rezoned anything because THEY WERE NOW THE GOVERNMENT! It stinks but the corrupt govt of Florida approved it and all at the expense of Florida and the taxpayers. De santis got rid of it! And the employees and Disney will never stop crying. That is exactly what happened and nobody will tell you because the ones that scammed you were corrupt business and politicians. How many billions did Florida and the environment lose when it was allowed to happen?

So a Tampa based coffee company that just so happens to be the official specialty coffee of both WDW and the Disneyland resorts, decides to sell their coffee at other locations outside of the resorts (which they already do ) and outside of the state of Florida translates to “Disney quietly relocates operations from Florida “. You really needed to jump through some hoops to get to that conclusion
Joffery coffee is not owned by Disney

  32. Damien

This is the worst Florida governor I know in the over 40 years I have been in Florida. For a person who has been in the service this has got to be the most hateful person to be a governor since segregation.

  33. Charles thorpe

Disney does not own Joffrey Coffee. It’s a Tampa based company.

  34. Charles Thorpe

Disney does not own Joffrey Coffee. It’s based in Tampa who also sells their coffee to the u.s.Army and Hilton

  35. P. Allen

Big bad Ron thought he would look tough harassing Disney. He’s brought Florida down a few notches. They’re much better off without him

  36. Rob

There is NO “don’t say gay” bill. Completely made up by liberals.

    1. Aunt Polly

I’m glad you approve of teachers using the word “gay” in K-thru-3 classroom discussions. As you say, nothing in the bill forbids it.

I find it truly hilarious that these comment sections all spawn the same type of thing, from every story posted here. It’s always the same thing in the end.

People carrying on how they hate everything Disney, will have nothing to do with Disney anymore, etc, get they keep coming back to read more about Disney. That kind of shows hypocrisy, as they clearly are NOT done with the House of Mouse. Otherwise they’d not keep coming back for more.

And then there’s the biggest one. No matter what the story is about, it’s always going to evolve into “never go there again” or “overpriced and overrated! Waste of money, blah blah blah.” Even if it’s about a situation of a ride having shut down for an issue. Same thing every time. Do people not have anything better to do than complain about the same overdone rants?

It’s just funny to see how much people try and justify their rants and saying how they don’t deal with Disney at all anymore, yet they’re the same people that keep returning to hear about more from their hated destination.

  38. Diane

I still don’t know why the MMS insists on calling it the ” Don’t say Gay” bill. It was a ban.on any sexual education before third grade. That, I believe, is a perfectly reasonable bill. I don’t know about others but I don’t want anyone trying to teach anything about sex to my grandchildren . That’s not outlandish.

    1. Aunt Polly

It was a rushed and vaguely worded bill that didn’t specifically define what constitutes “sexual education” or “inappropriate classroom discussion.” Besides, acceptable legislation already existed on the books prior to its passage and sex education was never part of any K-thru-3 curriculums, making this bill a gratuitous bit of theater from the governor. That’s the real point.

What’s funny is half these people I know are Eat the Rich yet they’re supporting Disney.

And the only reason they hate the Desantis because he has an R next to his name.

It doesn’t matter what an R does we hate it because we hate anything they do. Right Democrats?

Disney is no better than Nike they want things for free. Nike Corporation in Beaverton (as the last time I checked) doesn’t pay any taxes to pay for the police fire and roads around Nike the mayor of Beaverton has threatened to tax Nike and Nike has threatened to leave. Don’t worry our Mayor is a Democrat and he will cave, and Taxpayers money will pay for Nike!

I say go ahead Nike leave and go ahead Disney leave pay your fair share.

Much ado about nothing. Disney has done business in other states for DECADES. Iger claims he is trying to change the direction of the company. I could be doing a better job. He just blows smoke and rakes in Millions upon millions. upon millions – while line cast members make nothing

  41. When DeSantis started his tit for tat grievances with Disney, he had to know the footprint it’s company that had a big history & impact in the economy of Floridians as a whole & it’s investment efforts. Now as the dust is settling from the turf war that was created, the company itself made the decisions from the board of members with the choices, actions with the positive & negative impact it have on the company, their employee’s or further future capital investments they were making.

  42. Rob

And lucky for us DeSantis will be history in 2 years but the mouse endures forever

Anita’s Bryant learned the hard way. I guess it’s time for a florida state boycott of their orange juice and oranges. I dont drink orange juice any longer to be certain I am not indirectly a fascist freedom less state run by a short in stature and big on ego sychophant.
