I was looking forward for the this years VMCP but it’s to expensive even with passholder discount. and even then they limited the dates you have a a passholder otherwise you have to play full price

I can tell you why the Jollywood celebration isn’t selling out. After being Disney fanatics for decades we dropped our APs during the pandemic. Afterwards we heard a lot of bad things about WDW and did not pick our Maps back up. But we decided to use Jollywood to gauge the park. Frankly, it verified all that we had heard. We could not find most of the food and drink specials. Asking the cast members was frustrating as they knew little. One of them told us that he thought that one of the food offerings was in another park?!? With one exception the entire experience was a big let down. We were able to experience short lines on a few of the better rides. We rode the runaway train twice. But other than that my daughter, who grew up with a Disney mobile above her crib, and I agreed that we would not be returning to any Disney parks in the near future and possibly ever. Instead we have a much, much better time at Universal Studios. So sad:-(

Same here. We started going to DW litterally when they opened. We also had resident annual passes which we dumped during the plandemic. We haven’t been back since and have heard nothing good from those we know who have gone.

So no decorations, no magic, nothing outside of a very expensive city fair….

What is wrong with these board of directors? Trying to save money by cutting out everything that makes you different? What’s next? Tear down the castle and build an expensive hotel?

Quit lying in your comment in the heading of your story

  5. We are coming 12/26-1/1/25
No very merry then. Ending early 12/20
Surprised, in the past they had a night during those days. I suppose we will get to keep our money.
After hrs is better with Epcot then Studios. Snacks–had to find in the park. Some vendors do not have all the items–ice cream, popcorn, and drinks. Jollywood was a failure last year because they provided no snacks.
Be careful with your money Disney fans

  6. Pay more and get less? What’s the matter with people? Why aren’t they happy? What a crazy business model. It got big cheers in the Corporate Room…

They are charging to much money to go on a few rides that are opened, a cookie, and hot chocolate. These Christmas parties should be free with your admission tickets as well as the Halloween special. Just another rip off by the greedy CEO’s of Disney.

Even cast members don’t get in for free and the discount is pathetic.

    2. It’s like the democrats run Disney! Pay more get less be satisfied.

I live in Humboldt County, Calif. Here our trees are as tall as the Matterhorn, and I can climb them for free!

I used to live in Mendocino county. Same!

Too expensive for my family . We have to save as it is to be able to enjoy a regular trip to Disney. Disney is constantly raising prices out of reach for most families

That ridiculous price is on top of a park ticket? Nobody should go. They started out nickel and diming. Now there up to three digits

    1. Hi there, so no, you don’t pay for a park ticket, only the event ticket (Unless you plan on enjoying the park during the day.)

I am a passholder with several disabilities and tbe documents to prove so. I have always enjoyed disney,, however I will not buy tickets to any of the special events nor will I renew my pass, due to price increase and the fact that disney feels they are doctors and have told me I am not eligible for handicapped services as of May, in another of cases it is impossible for me to stand in lines. But it’s fine we have bought seaworld passes and will just spend our money there.

Less for more cost seems to be the new Disney theme. Our last trip in 22 was our last trip.

These extra party events are no longer a big draw/deal as vloggers film the heck out of them and post the 1st day of each party event. Ii’s a fact why go to Disney parks/events when you can see it via a vlogger as it’s happening! It’s ironic this Disney believes they are making bank on the vloggers when it’s more like the other way around!,

It’s way too expensive. I use to go every year, and I wanted to take a good friend of mine to it, but it’s too much money. As an Annual Passholder, even we don’t get any kind of substantial discount. Very disappointed

I can tell you why there is a lack of demand. It’s a lack of money in peoples’ bank accounts to get in.
I have a photo of me and my family at Disneyland in 1958. We used to go every few months, passholders for decades. No more. Makes me really sad. My magical place is gone. 😢
