It does matter which side. Disney is a company and you cant make everyone happy that’s why companies go with the majority to maximize profits. Disney is having a hard time figuring this out because now they are trying to pander to both sides and losing money from both. More people want it left alone with no changes then there are that want the changes.

So is it “cancelled” or not?! Your titles says yes, but then you explain the problems and finally list the release date.

I was thining the same, but I think ‘cancelled’ means that people are rejecting it rather than the whole thing be scrapped and TRULY remade. All I would keep is Gal Gadot and rightfully promote Andrew Burnap to Prince. The rest needs to be adjusted to make it a true live-action remake, not the rubbish it is now.

Leave it alone – the original story is what made it so popular! Stop all this nonsense being discussed by modern minority groups!!!

        I agree…
Keep everyone in the casting lineup except Zegler.
If you need “skin as whit as snow”, use a canadian or european actor.
Zegler is an activist and there’s no place for that in the original Disney stories.
If you want an all female, non dwarfism cast, wait till those of us that grew up with the original animated version die off and then give it over to the jerks.
If they shoot the version Zegler is currently in I too will not be in line to see the movie or buy the video when the theater version busts for pure lack of audience attendance.

Disney has been on a long list of changing the classic fairy tales. The point of the fairy tale is that it’s not real and it can’t happen which makes the remake of that idea of how they’re doing it. They need to stay true to the Grimm’s fairy tale maybe a few weeks updates but come on get the actual characters right. This is what is frustrated me with the Disney remakes from live actions. They wanted you live remix stick to the animal ones that can’t be done wrong

Leave it original! It’s a piece of American!
Need to stop changing things for a minority of the fans.

Stop trying to change history for a minority of the people.

Leave it alone! If you keep changing it I’m not going to see it.Its not 1937 it’s also not 1812 when the story was written

      1. That’s a good point, but I have one nitpick. It was published in 1812, but at the time, it was a very old story passed down from generations. This story is likely to be at least 300 years old.

        Focusing on 1937 is insulting.

I thought the reason they wanted to change the dwarfs to “magical creatures” was because they couldn’t get 7 real in person dwarfs to play each dwarf. In fact, they said they were gonna have 1 person play 6 dwarfs and animate the last dwarf.

Disney is trying to deny the magic of true love and it’s expression in a kiss. They fail to realize that is the fantasy both most males and most females are dreaming of. Megalomaniacs dream of power, and being bowed to by the masses. Normal people want a special connection to a partner they admire…

      Well said

More importantly, most women need to be rescued by men. That’s just reality and it will never change, so movies need to represent reality instead of the fantasy that women can be strong and independent enough to survive without men. Rachel Zegler was a moron for believing that.

  7. Lucille

Disney is now taking the magic out of everything. They should leave things as they are. They are on the wrong track.

  8. David

Instead of complaining about these remakes people just need to not go so them
I quit trying to include Disney Star War as cannon because they constantly retcon every thing. I just stick with George Lucas’s movies and the legends stories.

I strongly objected to Racheal Ziegler’s completely obtuse knowledge of the history and importance of the original animated movie in 1937. It was very disrespectful of a masterpiece that happened to be before her time. She came off as ignorant and disrespectful.
Usually professional actors are humble and respectful of important art from the past. Someone needs to educate her in professionalism

    1. Aunt Polly

She had the nerve to suggest that women don’t need to be rescued by men, which we all know is historically untrue. Women, generally speaking, are not strong and independent enough to survive without male saviors in their lives and Rachel is clearly not hip to this reality. I’m glad to see that people on this comment page are calling her out for that. Besides, let’s face it: A nonconsensual kiss is SO much hotter. Am I right, folks?

The problem is the original is wonderful, too many people don’t look at it as a classic fairy tale, they ate getting to serious about it. And disney is turning it into a redo of the movie mirror mirror instead. Sticking to the original story from the classic animated film is key. Disney needs to stick what it does best, good family entertainment.

  11. Brian

If you’re going to remake it, remake it. If you’re going to change it so it’s unrecognizable, call it something new.

  12. CAP

Disney animated movies were meant to be magical. All these remakes are not a live cast remake. They are a rewritten version of the original. I personally do not like the remakes. It’s lost it’s magic which is what Disney was meant to be all about. Leave Disney magic alone. Disney was meant to be magical and not real. Stop pushing the woke agenda unto a family oriented magical world.

  13. If it ain’t broke, why fix it?

    1. Aunt Polly

…which is why nothing’s being fixed.

  14. EpiokLord

the fundemental thing here is if its canceled the saying “go woke, go broke” fits the bill, they wasted millions of dollars on political propergander to ruin Walt Disneys reputation, wilk they learn from this, qell if the Star Wars Acolyte show is proof of it the no they will never learn from this untill they have to sell Disney to Warner, Sony or Nintendo

Must you rehash the Snow White debacle every day? Shelf the damn thing and move on. NOBODY WANTS THIS MOVIE.

  16. WLO

The fact that The Disney Co.is disrespecting the Walt Disney company by dismissing the original full length animated movie and Disney’s first princess is disturbing. Yes i, t’s always nice to have a little bit of change. Put your own spin on it so to speak, but this movie above all should be followed from the original storyline. Is a classic fairy tale and yes , the kiss should remain. It was a curse people. The prince was waking her up. Nothing sexual about it. Get real! Disney needs to start over. They could use Rachel’s voice. That’s the only thing that she’s good for. She’s destroyed this movie before even got off the ground! I have no problem with her being Hispanic. It’s her horrifying attitude about the movie in general. Disrespectful, The dwarves should be played by little people who deserve and want the role. If not animated versions that could be voiced by the same actors. It’s not that difficult. Disney
