What’s that awful spinning sound???? Oh, it’s Walt! He would be so broken to see what has become of his beloved vision and hard work. They have destroyed the brand and need to recoup the loss somewhere. Congratulations Disney fans, you are paying for the mistakes they make on a daily basis. AND they will blame you for the increased cost.
That’s right Walt would not agree!! They are taking advantage of people!!! That’s wrong!!! And I love Disney, but I think Disney Japan will be better more magical!!!
Insane! Staying at a Disney hotel already costs a premium compared to nearby hotels. The benefits used to offset the price difference, but now they’re stripping away the benefits. I’m surprised anyone still stays at Disney hotels. But as long as charging you more and giving you less doesn’t affect their bottom line and people still stay at the hotels, Disney will continue on your trajectory. Disney has shown they don’t care about customer experience, just the money.
My father use to take us to Disney World for 2 weeks and we stayed at Fort Wilderness and l remember when it was $5.25 a ticket book, don’t remember how much parking was (maybe $5,00) we did not need 5o reserve a park. There were street sweepers there to pick a piece of popcorn the minute it hit the ground, it was no longer than a 1 hour wait line, and that was for tje BIG rides like Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise. Walt Disney is rolling out of his grave because you have destroyed his vision. He intended to make Diney World an affordable place to take your family, now you have to be rich to afford to take your family, with all your fees you added on, you have let way to many people into the park that everyone is tripping over each other. By the way my dad just worked at the Post Office as a clerk, so you see we were nit wealthy
YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO WALT’S DREAM…
except everything you posted is incorrect.
If you were going when it was $5.25 then Space Mountain was not built yet. It was quite often that lines for attractions exceeded an hour and then finally the comment about Walt wanting it to be an affordable place to take your family. Walt never said anything about it being affordable. Just plain made up.
Space mountain opened in 1975 and January 15, 1975, Disney World opened October 1, 1971. By the way you didn’t have to pay an entrance fee either back then then you could just walk around, you just couldn’t ride the rides.
Is that the cost to put (or pose) it in the person’s room? Or just deliver it to the hotel gift shop. I get charging a fee to have it delivered to the room, that’s a lot of extra work on anyone’s part. Delivering it to the hotel should be a perk of staying at the hotel.
I used to go o to Disney alot but. Now since COVID and all these changes that cost a fortune for people I have not gone back maybe they should remember that we went thru alot during COVID too and that they are just too pricy and don’t even care to make it better for the people it’s just the money for them too bad because they are losing alot of business from people like us I mean they even charge for parking at the resort you stay at for a week or more forgetting the resort fee food fee and park fees I really think they are doing such a diservice to all by the way I totally used the package to room service it was great just another example of ripping off the people by charging for it now
Heck no. I too agree Walt would be turning in his grave to see what they have turned his dream into a money grabbing institute and how they treat the staff and customers .
I get that this is France and they have some pretty strong labor rules in place that DLP has to work around but 45 euros for a room delivery is crazy town! People get food delivered by Uber and the like in France for cheaper than that! I think it must be priced to not be used except for the Uber-rich who wipe their noses with 50 euro notes.
(In Paris right now, just went to the park) We didnt try to send anything to our room. BUT having your luggage moved from the hotel to the train station which is on the park side of Disney Springs is only 10 euros per a person. In general Paris is cheaper than California. We checked the price of a single day, because a cousin met us, and it was 80 euros for Paris, but same day over $200 in California.
STOP GOING TO DISNEY PARKS END OF UP CHARGES AND HIGH PRICES.
LESS ATTENDANCE NO BODY CARE TO GO BECAUSE DISNEY GOUGING CUSTOMER PRICES.
GO TO 6 flags or something else.
Ban Disney.
Just one more reason I will never go to Disney! Not only would it cost my family of 6 thousands of dollars to visit, but their prices for everything just make it so not worth it anymore. Never been to Disney and probably won’t ever go to Disney!
This is why my wife and I are not renewing our Annual Passes in February! Between little things like this and now the cancellation, humiliation, and dehumanization due to the loss of our DAS pass, Disney has lost its magic! It’s nothing more than a social/political, money grabbing, over priced, customer disrespecting, resting on its once great laurels, scam now!!! Like a kid who says “do you know who my father is” and all I can say is “Yes and he would be ashamed of you”!
All the money you are spending to stay in their hotel and they charge you to put something in your room that you bought in their gift shop! Ridiculous. I would just say forget it, I’m not buying anything in here. I’ll give someone else my business.
Insert “Iger”
“John D. Rockefeller” was the richest man in the world. He was once famously asked by a reporter, “How much money is enough money?” “Rockefeller” replied, “Just a little bit more.”
How else can he build his custom sail boats? You people are so selfish and self centered to think that Mr. Iger et al should not be able to charge astronomical prices to keep them living in the style they are accustomed to. Selfish rabble!
Well, I’m done. Our last experience at Disney was anything but magical. I thought about going back, but then they started charging for parking at the resort you are already paying a lot for. Then all the little fees popped up, as more amenities were shut down.
And now this ridiculous charge to send something back to the room? It’s cheaper to have it sent home I bet. Even cheaper not to buy anything extra. And free to not go at all.
Disney corp makes billions in profits every year, almost $30 billion last year alone. (this is after the utilities, cast members, operating costs are paid). Yet they are still crying poor.
Dollywood next year! I’m done with this company.
I agree Walt will be turning in his grave to see what they have turned his Dream into.Nothing more then a money grabbing theme park that i will never have sny interest in even going to anymore and how they treat the staff and customers is unheard of.
The way things are going, they might start wanting to do a body scan when you leave the park to make sure you don’t have ANY money left. If you do, you’d have to stay in the park until you’ve spent ALL of it.
I have been going to Disney world ever since I can remember. I was 5 when my parents took me for the first time. I am now 52 years old and don’t get me wrong I love Disney, but the people that are running it, are ruining it! Walt Disney would be rolling over in his grave. From Disneyland Paris FAQ
I would use this against them if they charge
Q. If I purchase something from a Resort shop, do I have to carry it around all day?
A. No. Because there are so many great shops full of magical gifts and souvenirs to explore at Disneyland® Paris, we’ve made things easier with a FREE hands-free shopping service. Instead of carrying your purchases around with you, simply leave them in the store and shoot off for more bag-free fun around the Parks. You can then pick them up after 06:00 PM at Disney Village®, as you leave the Disney Parks, or at the boutique in your Di
I recently visited the MAGIC KINGDOM and was told I needed to pay the cast member at the gate $25 for them to validate I was allowed to enter. When I handed the the money, they told me I needed to pay another $10 handling fee to take my money.
That $48 fee best come with some “French benefits” if ya’ know what I mean because it definitely sounds like you’re getting screwed on it…..wonder if that also includes a 💋 afterwards??? Disney is pricing themselves into oblivion at this point and at some point people are gonna move on to much better options for trips and vacations and what was once a destination will be nothing more than a washed out company with no one other than people with money to burn even considering them an optional place to go much less spending their hard earned money on the shallow experience!!! #FDISNEY
Absolutely NOT! Lord knows what they’re paying to stay at that resort for the week as it is, spending hardly any time there mind you as they’re inside the park for most of their visit I’m sure…but I would EXPECT that if I call the front desk and ask to purchase a giant Stitch and have it delivered to my room and set on the bed by x:xx pm, it better only cost me the amount of the Stitch AND a gratuity. THATS IT! But 48$ for a DISNEY RESORT EMPLOYEE TO GRAB A DISNEY TOY FROM THE ON SITE SHOP AND PLACE IT INSIDE MY EXPENSIVE AF ROOM?? NO WAY?! Its just more PROOF that these companies only care about their bottom lines staying at or above Pre-Covid numbers than providing exceptional customer service. Shoot look how many big businesses force their customers to do the work of 2-3 employees so they can price gouge us, take our money AND get free labor out of us…plus layoff those “unnecessary” employees. THEN THEY WANT GREAT REVIEWS AND ASK THEIR CUSTOMERS TO BE SURE TO TELL EVERYONE WHAT GREAT SERVICE THEY RECEIVED!! HAAAAA! NOT!!
We haven’t been to Disney World in years. Out of many trips there, we only stayed in a Disney hotel one time. Normally we rented a car and stayed in a clean and relatively inexpensive motel in Kissimmee. The cost of renting the car and the motel was less than staying in a Disney Hotel. And there was another advantage. Although we did like eating at some restaurants in the park, we were not forced to. We could eat at a multitude of restaurants near the motel.
And (although we saved a lot with the above) the visit to DW was not cheap! At the current prices, there is no way we would go.

$48 is absurd for a simple delivery!
Sure, fine… I suppose I do understand the reasoning behind the fees, but $48?! Seems a bit much..

Definitely. Disney would have a heart attack at what they are doing. From pricing to movies, that seem to be getting darker in stories.

Ever since Covid Disney has discovered that you don’t need a gun to rob people, I’m so done with Disney or as it’s known here in Hollywood, “The Rat”.
