Who’s feeling’s got hurt now? You keep trying to change everything that was Created by beautiful people’s creative imagination! Now so many suffer these constant changes for a exstreamly small percentage of people who have nothing to add to society but frustration!!!!!

      So TRUE‼️

🤔 Yet, the miscreant Disney leadership despise the TRUTH…

    2. Kaye

How about reading the entire article. The ride is closed for refurbishment. It will reopen on August 1st. Sheesh!!!!!

You’re destroying Walt’s Dream. And the Dreams of youth.
Deconstructing every iconic theme rides so not offending some offensive groups.
We will Never set foot in any Disney park, store, movie, nor buy another product.
    You’ve destroyed everything.

None of the above commenters read the actual story. The Tokyo Pirates is closed for refurbishment just like rides do all the time

Pirates has always been my favorite ride ! Please don’t clise it. Lighten up all of you that get offended so easily

    2. CJA

Walt had nothing to do with this ride as he was long gone. He may have discussed having a pirate ride a la “Treasure Island”, but this ride is no where close to that book or movie.

It opened in ’67, he died in Dec of ’66- get your facts straight. Yet changing this iconic ride to not offend people that are ignorant to history is the actual problem~

Read the whole article. It is closed for refurbishment. Sheesh!!!

    3. My girls are grown, (Thankfully). And we don’t have to worry about all your, “Woke / Joke”, restructuring. Go, broke / Ruin everything, Walt & Co. tried to spark in youngsters imaginations ! Sickening,,, simply tragic, what they are doing in the name of some hardcore lefties –

OMG!!! Blaming the left on ride closing???!! 🙄🙄 Where does it stop??!!

      2. Ash

It’s not closing… It’s just going down for maintenence.

Long ago, Disney would never have closed the popular rides during the peak season, what’s up with them doing that so frequently now.

Our family was making plans to go to Disney World couple of years ago, but the price got to the point we had to cancel and get back the money we could. Things have definitely changed for the worse and we’ve decided to remember the old Disney we have loved for years and never go again!😪😪😪

I’m so old that I remember my Dad having to buy tickets to go on the individual rides. He would buy a book for say, “ADVENTURELAND” and it would come with a number of ride tickets that you could use on any rides there. And as you went through the park, you bought a ticket book for the different themes throughout Disneyland. I’m glad I got a chance to see the original rides and all the funny things that a few morons got offended by. Funny how they couldnt choose just to not look at it for the 20 or so seconds that you’ll be passing it by. Instead, they took it upon themselves to have something changed that theyd see for 20 seconds, once every 5 or 10 years that theyd visit. Makes about as much sense as Trumps failed assassination/publicity stunt.

  7. So sick of Disney caving to a few morons offended by everything. Even the changes in what used to be good animated movies have destroyed the Disney Magic. Walt Disney is rolling over in his grave.

  9. This is a temporary closure in Disney Tokyo for refurbishment. Pirate lovers need not panic🥰!

  10. Lora

This is so wrong to do. Keep the ride and people can choose to go thru it or not but don’t punish everyone for a few who are focused on their tender feelings getting offended.

  11. Al

Simple, ride closes, I’ll never return! Make your voice known…less attendence, less money

  12. Barbara

Is this closing only for refurbishment?

  13. Capt Rrrdog

I will remove my Disney account.

  14. Gene

Wow… Iger keeps making mistake after mistake. Movies, parks, licenses… How does that man still have a job?

  15. Jack Sparrow

    This is total Bullsh’*

  16. Bert

We have to stop playing the games of the left. We are losing everything worth having.

  17. Giles

Simple, if you don’t like the ride or feel offended ” DONT RIDE IT, NO ONES TWISTING YOUR ARM” Disney, if you chose to close Pirates of the Carribean, I will no longer consider you an American Institution, just my opinion, also I will no longer spend my thousands of dollars attending your attractions, Universal Studios and Six Flags would be fine replacements. Up to you, I hope everyone feels this way.

  18. Absofreakinglutely nothing wrong with Pirates of the Caribbean.
The characters are depicted as they would’ve been\acted. A swashbuckling pirate.

Why do people always want to change, hide and\or, dismiss the past?
It IS what it IS.Leave it alone. Let it “ride” !!!
