      I agree with the ?

I posted a response to the author but it appears that any dissent against the viewpoints offered by the website is being censored. This site is just another Lib echo chamber it seems with no possibility of real discussion.

Tell me you are voting for Trump without telling me you are voting for Trump

        1. Jen

Idk. This is the sloppiest writing though.

      2. Tracy

Disney has been and will be around long after DeSantis is blowing in the wind of DJ Trump rump.

We just had a superb conference at the Grand Floridian so I am prejudiced, but Disney does deserve special treatment because they helped build central Florida’s industry.

In a famous video, a reporter was alerted to the previously secret fact that Walt had chosen the state for his huge park when he knew that Orlando was a swamp in the middle of the state.

I agree that Disney should have been allowed to retain the Reedy Creek board. Everyone has Free speech, which DeSantis no longer believes. Due to Disney, the Central Florida area grew to what it is now. Disney brings billions of dollars to the economy. It felt very strange when DeSantis gave Universal special allowances during the time he took them away from Disney. Yes, it happened, look it up. Yes, DeSantis targeted Disney. Personally I liked DeSantis during most of his first term, until he decided to be a “mini me ” to Trump. Florida is no longer “free”. DeSantis thinks he has the right to tell people what to read, what to do in their bedrooms, how to live their life. What is being free in any of those things? Making your own decisions, because DeSantis does not live in your house. Did not vote for him in his second election. If he runs for anything after leaving the Governors mansion, I would not vote for him.

      1. Jeff

Florida isn’t free under DeSantis? lol

We were the freest state during Covid. Numerous events were moved to Florida during Covid. And everyone was fine. Stay free in your lock down state, we don’t need nor want you down here.

        1. gary

93,000 people died in Florida of COVID…I guess they are free…lol

      2. Bill

        Truth… I agree 100%

      3. George

If you don’t like it here move to a liberal blue state where you belong and stop extolling the virtues of the morally defunct Disney.

        1. Mike

Like most of the population of America, a country you claim to like while hating on the majority of people in it.

      4. GG

        Exactly.

      5. Tom

That ages old agreement with a famous cadaver needed to be looked at for decades. If they get special treatment why shouldn’t all corporations in all states get the same deal( most. States have swamps etc)
Quit whining or move to California where Disneyland was founded

      6. Tracy

        🎯Bingo

Can’t express my feelings I try to write several times and definitely being censored

    1. I attempted but cut off

more woke bull shat. Jesus is Lord

    1. Aunt Polly

Most laughable comment of the day. A self-avowed Christian decrying a movement that promotes inclusion, which is ironically what Jesus preached about. Meanwhile, organized religion is the worst culprit when it comes to indoctrinating young children.

Jesus was woke. Period, full stop.

      1. P. Allen

        Yasss!

        1. GG

          Exactly.

      2. walt

In old and new testament there are many things that we accept as “Normal” which were classified as sin.
Jesus did not tell the protitute – that he prevented from being stoned – to keep up the good work – he said go and sin no more. So Aunt Polly you are woefully ignorant of scripture. Perhaps stop parroting what you have “heard” and read the book.

        1. Aunt Polly

First of all, being “ignorant of scripture” is something to wear as a badge of honor, especially the Old Testament, which is rife with contradictory sentiments. Do you believe the Ten Commandments are a perfectly worded list of moral guidelines? If you do, then you must also believe that God had no issue with rape or slavery, since no commandments exist to condemn those acts.

I noticed you couldn’t even pick scripture that relates to the woke movement in any way, which is what BD’s comment is about. When Jesus said “go and sin no more,” he was referring to the woman’s adultery, which you conveniently failed to mention. How is adultery, or even prostitution, related to Disney’s inclusion key or even DEI in general?

Can you cite a Jesus teaching from the New Testament that comments on homosexuality specifically? Or better yet, perhaps you should stop shoving your belief system down the throats of others, which is something else the Bible advises against. According the book of Matthew, you should be careful that you don’t practice your religion in front of people to draw their attention. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

Got any more arrogant attempts to admonish, Walt?

        2. GG

I gave read the “book” which is the most widely edited book in the history of books. It’s all mythology.

          1. MM

Having read the Bible in several different languages, the English translation, mostly derived from the King James version, is the biggest aberration from the original text. If people want to argue about reading the Bible, I suggest you read at least two of the non English versions before making sweeping statements about what the Scripture actually says.

        3. Bob

Jesus told the prostitute to sin no more. But is it written anywhere that she obeyed him?
If it was important wouldn’t it be in the Bible? No. Jesus forgives over and over, unlike a lot of you lukewarm followers.

  6. Darrell

DeSantis lives free in her head. No one is fleeing anything, except maybe you fleeing reality.

  7. George Reynolds III

The sooner we can get DeSantis out of the Florida Governors office the better!!!!! The public has heard too much from this demented fanatic!

    1. Ruth

      I agree!

    2. Uncle Joe

DeSantis has been a great governor. Hope he continues to serve.

  8. David Lee

Not sure who really wins, but Disney has privileges that no other company in the world has with Reedy Creek. No other company will ever get that ability. It is unfair to all other companies. The only entity that may come close to these privileges is the Vatican with Vatican City

    1. Kim

Actually , the Villages is set up exactly like Reedy Creek. Funny how they are allowed to keep their ways, yet Disney is not. Hmmm, maybe because the Village people support the Trump agenda??? Hmm?!?!

    2. Kim

Also, how about this little bit of information…Ron Desanctamonious got married at Walt Disney World. He sure didn’t have a problem with them then. As long as it benefits him he’s all good, but as soon as someone doesn’t agree with his crap, he outs them. I can’t wait until his term is over.

    3. Kim

Here’s a tiny bit of information… Ron Desanctamonious got married at Walt Disney World…how about that??? Funny how he can accept things as long as they benefit him, but as long as someone disagrees with him, he outs them. I can’t wait until his term is over!!!

    4. GG

Disney is the largest private employer in the state of Florida. I hope it doesn’t happen, but Disney would be justified to take their business elsewhere and say goodbye and good riddance to DeSanctimonious.

  9. This whole incident was unnecessary and foolish. Disney will outlast DeSantis but is the damage already done and irreparable? Disney is a huge company and apparently doesn’t take well to being bullied and will fight back. With the weather warming as it is how long before Florida goes from “The Sunshine State” to the “Sunstroke State” and that begins to affect tourism? Could Disney find a more friendly location somewhere north of the Florida border and begin to methodically transfer resources?

    1. Gordon

Right, David. 1,200 people are moving to Florida daily. Your comment about “Sunstroke State” is no more than wishful thinking.
The same with Disney finding a better location north of Florida’s boarder. Do you think the can just pack a small bag and move?
Disney has invested billions and agreed to invest even more in the Florida location. Perhaps it would make more sense for Disney to concentrate on business and stay out of politics.

      1. Aunt Polly

All companies concentrate on politics when it affects their business, and especially when the politics in question are civil rights issues that impact their company’s employees. So, in essence, no, it doesn’t make more sense for Disney to stay out of politics.

      2. GG

        1. Learn to spell.
        2. Anyone with a brain can get into politics. Actually without a brain in the case of DeSantis.
        3. How is Disney personally hurting you?

  10. L Montgomery

Apparently, they both won (whatever that may end up to be) and the people lost. I guess it was never about standing up for what was right (thank Mr. Iger), or standing up for your Constructional rights against a bully. If anyone had the deep pockets to litigate their very valid claim against DeSantis for his blatantly unconstitutional laws, it was Disney. But they didn’t have the courage, foresight, or integriry to do the right thing. Now they’ve (quietly) gone back to donating to republican candidates, who are now sycophants to trump and his efforts to break our democracy in two. So, yes, I think they both won the fight. I think the people lost.

  11. Paul

DeSantis is the worst thing in the history of Florida. Many people are moving out of the state because of him. He reminds me of the Taliban.

    1. Bill

      👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

      1. GG

        👍👍👍

  12. Bill

    Truth… I agree 100%

  13. Narkus

Maybe Disney should just leave Florida and take the jobs and economy to a state or country that can appreciate it. DeSantis can replace it with a Trump themed park with a nice wall around it.

  14. NOREEN

GO DESANTIS!! You hold Tru to your word. You have spectacular values and Morals!! Help save this lost Country! You, President Trump, and every FL SHERIFF!! Love you all!
Disney has become all MONEY MONEY MONEY, no concern for its guests…2-4 HOURS in l8ne for 1 ride OR you have to be on your phone 24/7 while “enjoying” the park. I turned my season passes in. Goodbye Disney. NO THANKS

  15. Jose

Enforcement in balloon releases and breaks for hourly employees! Oh the horror!

  16. RNelson

As a native Floridian I believe that the state will benefit greatly by pursuing the goal of becoming rodent free! Eliminate the California Rat!

  17. Al

Look like the employees win with scheduled breaks and the environment from released balloons

  18. Your momma

I love how everyone’s saying Disney has Free Speach, untill the “Demon”crats decide it’s hate speech right

    1. Rey

You ain’t my momma. How old are you talking like that? LOL

      1. Aunt Polly

Not old enough to spell “speech” right, apparently.

  19. Philip Johnson

For 55 years neither Reedy Creek nor Disney seemed to ruffle too many feathers, until Mr. “Don’t-say-gay, do-as-I-say” came along. Reedy Creek seemed like a pretty sweet deal for both parties. I always thought Republicans wanted Government to stay out of private business.

  20. over it

Dsiney is the states largest employer. yes lets run them off. for being inclusive. unreal long live disney

  21. MadPanda

Politicians are suppose to be civil servants. It would seem that Desantis is only interested in pursuing his own agenda or the one of people who think like him. On the other hand, disney is too big should be dismembered.

Companies should not be allowed to donate to political campaigns. Politicians should work in favor of all of the people, not just tye ones who voted for them.
