its not fair to use Turning Red or Luca as a comparison. Both of those movies went straight to streaming with no theatrical release. Turning Red has a very high Rotten Tomatoes score and would have made at least $500 million at the box office. Luca probably not as much as TR but we will never know. Now Lightyear was terrible so I will definitely give you that one.

Lightyear was not that bad but it did have a couple of things going against it. One was a familiar storyline I can not place which show/movie I saw it in but is was used before. Two the “Woke” situation has proven to be a movie killer and it has happened again. Overall it was enjoyable but not billion dollar material. Soul, Luca,Turning Red, and Elemental are all victims of Disney plus/cable TV and I hate to say it most people would rather stay home to watch the movie instead of travel to theater and pay some un-godly amount and deal with all the problems of/in the theater. If they even have a local one! Mine have all closed up and the nearest one is 45 min. away. I hope that Disney/Pixar does not give up on these movies especially the ones (Elemental) that deserve sequels eventually get them because I hate to say it the big blockbuster movies are far and few between today!

I can’t wait for “Toy Story 5” and I also hope they can do longer re-releases in the theaters for “Onward”, “Soul”, “Luca”, “Turning Red”, “Lightyear” and “Elemental”. I also can’t wait to see “Inside Out 2” this year, “Elio” next year and the second Pixar movie of 2026, as well as “Toy Story 5′.
