Go woke, go broke!! You’d think they would learn.

I’m surprised they didn’t go broke back in the 50s onward… After all, they (along with Star Wars in 70s) did go woke… 🤔

Marvel is a little out of touch. They don’t even know how to promote a good movie like the Marvels! They kill the biggest box office draw Scarlet Witch for no reason! They cancel second Seasons of Moon Knight, and She Hulk, and Ms.Marvel. and Echo ! All great shows ! THEY COMPLETELY IGNORE THE X-men! Which is guaranteed box office gold! NO YOUNG Avengers since the mother of two of them is now confirmed Dead! Scarlet Witch. It’s just stupid! Fantastic Four casting horrible. The guy who played and ruined The Maxwell LORD Character in WW84 as Reed Richards?!? NO! FIRING THE BEST VILLIAN SINCE THANOS! KANG FOR THE STUPIDEST REASON! MAJORS IS KANG WE WILL ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES! WHERE IS Sub Mariner from Black Panther 2? Age THE son Tchalla to be the new Black Panther no offense Suri! Get it together Marvel you are making fools of yourself!

That’s a stretch. The movies are just bad, woke or not, can’t save that. Every movie, not just marvel, nowadays are woke. Some are good and others are just, bad.

You do realize that Marvel comics has always been woke in some form? Especially when it comes to X-Men as they represented the discrimination of its day with the African Americans struggle for Civil rights, by the way, that is the original woke. It had nothing to do with the LGBTQ society that is going on now.

Marvel has always had some form of politics woven in their stories.
I also liked the Marvels movie Eternals, that needed work, not the fault of the actors.

It’s not a big secret. The MCU came out with 20+ movies that were all connected and told a coherent story, yet each one also stood alone. They also had amazing actors in career defining performances. Since “Endgame”, the movies don’t seem to be connected. What is the “connective tissue” between the Eternals and “The Marvels? Aside from Wanda in Dr Strange (where she dies) and Spiderman no way home (where everyone forgets Peter exists) there is no flowing narrative . But the worst part is the lack of a villain. Even if Jonathan Majors hadn’t gotten in trouble, Kang is as intimidating a threat as Fing Fang Foom.

Marvel has no shortage of “universe level threat” enemies. There’s, Doctor Doom, Galactus, Apocalypse (done right this time) or even the XMen vs Avengers.
If the MCU wants to give us C level superheroes like the Black Knight, Blade, Moon Knight, She Hulk, and the Kate Bishop version of Hawkeye (not saying they’re bad characters, just not top tier) and D level bad guys, don’t be surprised if audiences don’t come running

I find hilarious that NO ONE commenting here really knows what woke means. Ignorance is bliss I guess. And Blade was an only average film, at best.

      Woke adjective

      1) Past tense of Wake

      2) aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)

    2. Jackie

I was going to say that as well. They have no idea the meaning behind “stay woke”.

  5. Phillip

I don’t care if it’s Wake or Woke… who can afford movies anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!
