Still waiting for a Jyn Erso appearance.

The Rogue One I saw on the screen had Felicity Jones as the star, not Cassian

    What happened?

    1. MakoM

Cassian had a much more implicitly sordid background, so he got the show about how he came to the Alliance.

We saw her story in Rogue One. New show = someone else’s story.

If they need to retcon Rougue One to make a series they are lazy writers. There are seasons of material between where season 1 ended and the Movie.

When is Disney retconning all the films?

  4. Andy

Literally nothing he said implies they’re retconning anything.

Rogue One is the only decent SW content the mouse created. The only thing most older fans enjoyed. Which is exactly why KK would set out to change it. Do as you wish Disney. I quit caring a long time ago and own physical copies of 1-6.

“you will see Rogue One from a different perspective” …implies a retcon. That said retcon does seem like everyone’s favorite way or saying prequel lately.

No it doesn’t. It implies that this new season will open our minds up to new ways to look at the Rogue One movie. A retcon is where a new piece of media outright contradicts an older piece of media and the contradiction is treated as the new correct information. Nothing about what Duego Luna said even remotely implies revisionism of Rogue One, none of it at all. I swear, it’s like nobody actually knows what retcon actually means, neither the author of this article nor you.

  5. Yay..

They don’t need to retcon Rogue One, they just need to go back to the original Five season plan for Andor if they want to scrape it for all it’s worth.

  6. Eric

Not wanting to see revisionist history is what I would want.

  7. KMC

I don’t particularly want a season 2. I wasn’t that interested in the first one.

      Yet here you are.

There’s a BIG difference between providing greater context to a story and just retconning it. Inside the Magic used the word “retcon” in connection with Rogue One because they know it is a movie that fans generally like, and the prospect of it being retconned will make them mad.

Tony Gilroy is the man. If he burns Starwars down for a masterpiece in Andor season 2, im here for it.

  10. Cjpena

It would be smarter for Disney to retcon 7-9

Well, yeah… the ages of characters are kind of important. That’s not something that changes “from a certain point of view”. Those are more like cold hard facts.
