We have both HBO and Max, so watching it will not be an issue. It will be difficult to acclimate to new actors playing the roles of characters so closely tied to the original movies. Moreover, it will be interesting to see how it is handled on the theme parks.
I was really looking forward to watching the Harry Potter series on Max. So much for quality television surrounding Harry Potter.
I guess Harry Potter fans are going to learn to go without their boy wizard.

I was looking forward to the series as it was said to be thorough, more detailed, ( which movies cannot do bx of time constraints) ,accurate, and faithful to the book. About choosing other actors, this had been done many times in different movies, ( James Bond, the Selena series, remakes, etc. ) As long as the series has good acting, faithful to the original books, it would be wonderful and entertaining to watch.
this new series is a terrible idea and I don’t know why they’re rebooting the whole entire franchise again. Why can’t they make TV shows about other characters in the universe not focus on the same characters over and over again Why can’t they tell stories about the other characters and their experiences during the same time period. I personally will not be watching this because it’s a bad idea

It has not been cancelled it will just now air on HBO as well as stream on MAX

The head of Warner SERIOUSLY needs replaced. He is the main reason Max has the issues it has.

Multiple sources are confirming as of June 30,2024 that the series has been greenlit and will be released in early to mid 2026.
