The subs are(and have been) on a track. They are not “sealed” and do not submerge. There are fan’s that circulate outside air. The guests simply walk down stairs and sit below water level. The seats are cramped to give the feeling of cramped quarters in a real submarine.
Hmmmm they haven’t posted my comment that this is completely untrue. Hubby who works in tomorrow land and spoke with operators on the ride confirmed it never happened. Looks like they are going to suppress my comment if it’s not a reply.
This site does this a lot. Uses some “program” to filter out spam comments. Aka, clearly anything they don’t like. Happens to me with numerous posts, be ause I call them out on their junk stories.
Really? Trapped with limited oxygen? Sealed tight while submerged? That’s funny, seeing as how the top half never goes under the water at all. And the subs are on guide rails, so the only true piloting might be making it go forward.
You make this sound like it was some life threatening, death defying tale. I hope the cast member is well, and it might have possibly been do to illness or heat stroke, which is known to happen on these attractions. But, for the love of God, please stop overblowing your stories. You’re only making your site look even more foolish than it has a reputation for now.
Exactly, as it always has been, since it’s original construction. Thus why this “story” is such a fabrication. And this site regards itself as some reliable source for theme.park information. Laughably painful.

Right? And my husband and son who work there have heard NOTHING about this!

And this happened in 1992? That’s over 30 years ago!

I had completely missed that part somehow. Thank you.for pointing that out. So this site is now digging deep for their “stories?”
No wonder it’s known to be such a joke.

It was in 1992, per the story. 😛

It doesn’t actually go underwater and it won’t run out of oxygen. It runs on a track.
