The guy knew what he was doing. I hope the likes were worth it, idiot.

  2. Juan

Why is he giving so much important to that place? Why he so selfishly defends his right to be potentially annoying to other guests? Will he handsomely profit from people watching videos of him playing the victim? If he truly happy that he was banned? Come on man! , whatever happens to you there or anywhere else is as important as what happens to the best of anywhere, anytime, being it good, bad or indifferent. Wanna get lots of attention?? : buy a(nother) flipping purse dog and stop being a drama queen to get views! Or get a life!!

    1. Chris Wood

This person was an off duty cast member, as such he should have known the rules. Now he is crying victim. I’m gay and not allowed to express myself. He is embarrassing himself and the community.

      1. Linda S

As a cast member, he should have known better. Can’t stand it when people push beyond the limits, then whine and cry about how unfairly they are treated.

        1. Trevor

Here we go, the gay community thinks it’s all about them and they should be allowed to do anything

          1. Keith Sudziarski

Me me me me me down everyone’s throats again and again and again

          2. Eve

As a cast member he knows the rules. If you haven’t worked there then you don’t have a clue as to what everyone is talking about. It’s all for “woe is me”. He knows what he did wrong and it’s not because he’s gay.

          3. Preach! You said it perfectly!

      2. pamela davis

        Agree

      3. Amanda

I’m part of the community & I love his expression. To each their own.

      4. Well said mate.

      5. Pamie

As a retired Cast member for nearly 12 years now, I remember well what used to be the KEYS.

A Cast member is to NEVER deter the SHOW! People pay thousands to come and see their favorite characters. Not people like this guy. Why do you think, Disney had the “Disney Look” criteria since the inception of Disneyland back in 1955? Nothing should be allowed to distract from Disney’s show. The mere thought of this guy crying foul is laughable. Perhaps he missed the Traditions Classes? What a misguided little boy…

        –Pamie

    2. Jim

Agree with parks decision!!.. it’s NOT about YOU Brandon.. it’s about the Disney experience ! As an employee if can’t get that that you should get another job

    3. bob Geewizz

If Brandon wants to hold Disney to it’s word, havehim read the damn 5th. Rule.. the word he forgot is “casmember”..Brandon is NOT a Disney employee.. period

      1. ConnieWms

You missed the “t” its Cast. Anyhow, the post clearly states he IS a cast member.

    4. Amanda

Wow. Overreact much? It’s not all that.

  3. Tino

The first “outfit” (pant suit) was stunning… The second one was a costume…not an outfit. However they wanted to word it, they knew what they were doing.
The dress code at Disney can be entertaining especially here in the UK, the clothes company French Connection normally has FCUK on their products. Save the costume for Halloween or x-mas where the dress code is “tweaked”. Don’t play the victim and cry wolf… Disney is the gayest company I’ve worked for. We use to have a saying for new male cast members… “Gay till proven straight”. They now hold Pride Nite in Anaheim.

Other LGBT current and precious cast members will probably have the same view as me and that this cast member knew he was taking a risk and now he has content to post.

The rules are there to “keep the magic”. I’ve had my issues with the company and if any hint of homophobia is in the air, I’m the first to scream and shout. But to claim you were targeted or the incident was homophobic, shame on you.

    1. ConnieWms

Very nicely written. I hope you are enjoying being a cast member; I know I am.

  4. Annoyed

He is an idiot. Every time someone that is gay, breaks the rules and is held accountable for it They say that it’s because they are homophobic. Dude, grow up your wearing a costume And you literally look like you belong in a Disney movie. It has nothing to do with being gay. You’re just an idiot.

    1. Amanda

      This comment seems pretty homophobic.

  5. Daiv

He definitely looks like a character that could be in a cartoon or movie, albeit a general sci-fi one. Kids might approach him for engagement and since he’s not a sanctioned Disney character or costumed employee, Disney can’t control how he would engage with those kids and might thus tarnish their experience there. Seems like he can’t understand that concept! He should find other venues and places for his sci-fi – super heroic drag outfit and stop complaining about rules he already knows are in place. Immature!!!

  6. Derek

This is a dang family park. Express yourself at home. Why is Disney world becoming a place to go if your weird or odd. I see the absolute craziest people there now. Wish it could go back to being a family fun park not a freak show

  7. Lori C

    Hey Man, it’s Pride Month.
You do you. Just not at the parks. You work there. You know the rules. This has nothing to do with your gayness, and everything to do with your attempt to get “views” and “likes”. It’s a shame to cast negativity on your employer to get attention for yourself.

    1. Juneteenth far eclipses pride, gluttony, the 7 deadly sins. Get a life.

      1. Pepper Jackson

Nobody knows or cares about Juneteenth.

        1. AH

          Not true

      2. Amanda

Hate breeds hate. Is that what you want to promote?

  8. Kes

So he is breaking code. With the cape/dropped fabric. I would guess that is what he was coded for. He probably being cast member also by passed the entrance.

  9. John White

This nonsense has gone too far.

  10. Disney would have welcomed him more as a drag queen.

  11. Susan

Why does a grown ass adult want to be in a costume anyway?! Grow up!

    1. Jenny Tolls

You sound like fun. Try using all caps and a few more exclamation points next time to really hit the ball home. Bonus points if you mention Jesus and/or Trump.

    2. Amanda

Because it’s fun & self expression is healthy? Calm down.

  12. Alfred

Rules are rules . That right there is the world we now live in . Every one thinks they are special and they can do whatever they want whenever they want . Self entitled people . I like to call everyone gets a trophy generation . Sickening

    1. Elizabeth Thomas

They let a guy who has a beard, shaved head and hairy legs wear a dress working in Germany. Why not let this guy stand out? The guy didn’t even try to wear makeup or a wig. Was handing out waters for free. Lookimg for attention. When have you ever seen a cast member walking around with a tray of water cups for free? It’s one thing to want to be inclusive. It’s another thing to scream for attention.

      1. Lyn

I want to see a picture please!

  13. Michelle

Is it a completely original character? It’s a beautiful costume, by the way. I get it if they don’t want kids getting confused and thinking he works there. But It’s an original costume. This is homophobia. I mean, not even being allowed to wear similar outfits to the Disney .Princess sounds like it’s all about money. You’re better off with Universal.

  14. Cheryl C

Come on. He was wearing a costume. The rules apply to everyone, even, or especially, off duty cast members. You can’t pull the “homophonic card” when you’re wrong…only when you’re right!

  15. Lady Arthropod

He belongs at Comic Con not Disney, and he knows it. Sadly he is hiding behind the homophobia term hoping for sympathy, likes, or personal promotion. Sad the lengths people go to for their own ego.

    1. Amanda

“The lengths people go to”???? It’s an outfit. Big whoop.

  16. Gene

No. There are rules in life
and if you enter then you follow the rules. Express yourself at home if that’s what you wanna do.

  17. Kg

Looks like a costume and could be seen as a character in the park. Also he paid waybto much if that was over $1000. He is definitely looking for trouble.

    1. Lyn

Right!? That’s like $75 tops he should’ve spent on making that costume.

  18. Dvc forever

Bc if your costume could be confused for a characters or cm your out them be the rules! Its not expression its the dame rules! The only exempt is unless your a child bc my kid had outfits that matched all the time but now my kids almost adult its na.

  19. Tom

Because costumes are fun. Everyone loves a good costume, like the ones we see in movies and TV shows.

    1. Amanda

Right??? I think he looks nice.

  20. He knows the rules.. the rules are for everyone!! All he wants is attention!!! Kinda think he should be fired.

  21. He knows the rules. He just wants the attention.. kinda think he should be fired.

  22. Lee

Having your own identity great! However your workplace has rules as does every employer in America! Disney’s is simply that they want to keep the magic alive and NOT confuse the kids by them being lead to believe you are a Disney character. They are a positive LGBTQ promoter! More so than most employers. They have tons of LGBTQ merchandise and employ more of the LGBTQ community than any employer I have ever seen and I have worked for a lot of top 500 companies! Be the brightestest you want to be just have respect and follow your workplace rules! I am sure you could wear the costume at the other guys parks with no problem at all!

  23. LMF

This is an example of a person doing something just for a lawsuit. First off you got ripped off if you paid thousands for that. You look like a dollar store Buzz Lightyear. Second, you work there. You know the rules.

  24. VacaDad

Curious what other rules he tries to break while working there? WDW was already “inclusive” by hiring him…this attempt gives CMs a bad name, they should just let him go.

  25. Steve

I thought Disney banned adult costumes years ago. It becomes confusing to other guests especially children. The only guests allowed to dress up are children. Express yourself elswhere.

    1. They did because it was getting out of hand. Costumes are only allowed for adults during the Halloween season.

  26. Mary

He knows the rules and planned on breaking them for several months as he planned this outfit and stunt. The cries of “homophobia” are so tired. Just because you are gay, doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want and rules don’t apply.

  27. Joe

Disney is not an open stage for one to express him/ her self or make a seen

  28. Joe

He is obviously a fagg*t. Glad he got kicked out.

    1. Zach

      Talk about homophobic Joe

  29. Jen

Sick of these LGBTQIASTZYZ++++ perverts and their demands. Kick them all out. Disgusting. We as a society cannot continue to tolerate them. They’ve gotten way too comfortable.

  30. Zach

As a gay man myself, I know when to express myself and when not to express myself and Disney World and Land is definitely not the place to do it, an outfit like that should have only been brought out for a Pride parade

    1. Chris Nielson

Thankyou Zach, that was an intelligent answer! I didn’t think about that, but youre right, Disney world is supposed to be a lighthearted fun place. It is definitely not the place to “raise awareness” or spread your political views!

  31. Brooke

It looks too much like an official uniform or costume at EPCOT. There is a large number of LGBTQ at Disney, I really doubt this was homophobia. All in all, he did a really good job on the costume, I would have thought he was in an official costume.

  32. Chris Nielson

Establishments have the right to refuse service to anyone. He’s an employee, he should have known the rules regarding costumes. Now he’s trash talking his employer, I hope he gets fired for this!

    1. Mags

Any Disney employee knows the rules. Most importantly is the experience of the park attendees. It is all about the Disney Magic. If you think about it as someone’s first vacation to Disney, who has never known any of this, and they’re 8 years old and it’s perfect and magical.
How incredibly selfish do you have to be, to live next to a park like this and have the ability to go every day, and make it all about yourself. I grew up with Disneyland in my backyard. And I worked for them twice. This is some family vacations. And just because we have the privilege to live close by, not everyone does. So don’t take it for granted.

  34. Wear his costume at a Pride Parade? Great idea! I vote for that one. Not at Disney. My sister (straight) tried on an Evil Queen costume at a shop at Disneyland and she didn’t notice (I did!) 2 little kids following her around the store. It was so cute! Sis is tall, so she looked great! So, my point is, kids can’t understand and that’s why there’s rules about adults wearing costumes in the park. Yes, she bought the costume, but never wore it at the Parks. Was a big hit at parties, though. Smiles!

  35. Phillip

First… how did he get in the park? Second to quote In Living Color’s “Men on Film“…”Three snaps up and in a circle “.

  36. Godfrey

Goes to motivation. He had to of thought long and hard before daring the stunt. Surely the reactions were no surprise. He also probably heard a “don’t do it” from somebody.
Btw and unrelated. Juneteenth is big in Texas.

  37. John

It’s about time they start making these fruitcakes dress appropriately in a family friendly theme park.

  38. Bob K.

This person should know the dress code for Disney because he a cast member. And when they are off work there like everyone else that come there have to attend to the dress code.

  39. Ladyredrider

Another whining jerk wanting special treatment. Take yourself home and do as you please. Guests are sick of this type of arrogant, selfish showboating. Kids see characters and cannot discern between weirdos and paid actors – this IT is just a pain. He should be fired!

  40. Rodney

You’re over fourteen, and, are wearing a costume that looks like it should be a Disney character. You work at Disney. Put the queer card away, and, follow the damned rules. That’s inclusivity. Following the rules like everyone else.

  41. Kat

If he is a cast member , he already knows the rules. He broke the rule and needed to face the consequences. Not homophonic at all.

  42. Andrew

🤦!!!!!!!!!! Just stop. You work there and know the rules! You can use the costume somewhere else. It is not all about you and that is ok. This has nothing to do with if you are gay or straight or by. Rules are there for a reason. You don’t have to like them, but you must follow them or get kicked out. Plain and simple.

  43. Jacque

Sorry, Brandon, I’m a Cosplayer but I am not aloud to wear my costume yo Disneyland either. Nothing homophobic about it. Just rules for ALL guests.

  44. Paul

This is what creates the contempt for the gay community where NONE previously existed.

Just the same as it does for religious groups….ethnic groups…..or other social justice groups…….

The “playing”…of a particular card that ensures the acquisition of “getting your own way” when you KNOW your “own way” is against someone else’s rules, or code.

In this case….a grown man throwing a childs tantrum….by accusing Disney of being Homophobic. Like a religious man calling you Islamophobic because he cant jump the queue…..or a black man calling you racist because you stopped him for speeding…..or a White non binary man accusing you of a hate crime because you called him SIR .

    This crap HAS to stop.

  45. Deb

Definitely a costume. It’s the rule. Totally agree with Disney. He should go on a Disney cruise , they have special dress up nights.

  46. Cheryl C

As a case member he knows he blatantly breaking the rules. You can’t pull the “homophobe” card when you’re 100% wrong!

  47. Lisa

You must have not paid close attention in your cast member training and or handbook that only small children may dress as a character.
I’m surprised that you even had the nerve to think of doing what you did to express yourself to affect your employment and want to cause situations that could affect others in many ways.

It’s good to be creative in personal and talented ways, and to share with others is nice, but there’s always a time and place and this was definitely not it, “So, stop your whiney baby attitude and show yourself some respect: GROW UP and GET OVER IT!”

  48. Chris B

lmao one person labeled Disney as “homophobic” I thought the leftist snowflakes considered Disney cool with them since Disney is all about the “gay days” events and the other stuff that they push just so they can say “we arent homophobic we know plenty of gay people” lol

  49. Ralph

I knew the 5th key would eventually bite the mouse in the backside. When the 5th key was initially introduced I said it was unnecessary because I never saw a time when anyone was excluded, regardless of their weird proclivities. Having said that, if anyone one feels remotely like a pariah in the company, it would be conservatives who bite their tongues daily, keep their heads down, do their jobs, and go home.

Dude is an attention where, and wants special privileges.

  50. J

    Your a dude

  51. Deb

The first outfit he wore was lovely, however the second was a costume of some sort ,what sort I don’t know, but it was in my opinion ridiculous looking

  52. pamela davis

Why is the story still on sites Disney was right move on

  53. Marie

Yet Disney SELLS adult … basically…costumes at Disney Springs in one of the shops. They sold a Jack Skellington coat in Epcot that had a good on it that could zip all the way over the face. I bought one, then was told those who purchase the jacket couldn’t wear it at Disney because of the hood, which it was too warm to wear it so no big deal at the time….Yet THEY SOLD these jackets at EPCOT and many times people buy jackets and other clothing to wear at the park! And for buco bucks.
Disney needs to make decisions. If they don’t want you wearing it in their parks…. DON’T SELL IT in the parks.

  54. Phil

The rules are there for a reason. You may not like the rules – that is your right. You don’t have the right to disregard the rules you don’t like just to satisfy your little ego. We are living in the “ME GENERATION”. I am the only person who counts, and everyone else must kowtow to me, or I’m being picked upon or discriminated against. This clown should get a life. He knew the rules before he put on the overpriced costume and entered the park. He worked there. He is lucky they just asked him to leave. They should have fired him for knowingly breaking the rules. He wasn’t just a park visitor; he was a Disney representative.

  55. Mark Aponte

His car is also branded in Epcot logo’s and branding. If you didn’t know any better, the car looks like a Disney vehicle. Delusion at its finest.

  56. Heather

I’m appalled at what about half the people wear in public in general. Then you bring them to Disney and they completely lose their minds.

  57. Maria

Why can’t he see that he looks and acts like a total loser? Disney or whatever third party he works for needs to fire him if he doesn’t even know basic Disney rules.

  58. John

Also, don’t forget he created the “costume” using the EPCOT’s insignia/logo which is copyrighted, without Disney’s approval. Him, being a cast member, should’ve known better based on that. Another thing, how can he think of self-entitling himself as the “King of EPCOT”??? I’m part of the lgbtqa+ community myself and this had nothing to do with homophobia.

  59. This is an issue for so many reasons, the main issue is that if he were allowed to wear that costume, I guarantee a guest would be injured by the pieces on the shoulders. And oh my gosh, playing the homophobia card, bro grow up. As a cast member, he knows the rules and chose to violate them anyway. Just because he’s a cast member doesn’t mean he can break the rules, they apply to him just as much, if not more so. Additionally, as a result of his posts calling the company he works for homophobic, slandering the name of Disney and just being a jerk, he could lose his job.

  60. Niki

The costume is AMAZING and is totally appropriate for somewhere like Comic Con. Unless it’s a Halloween Party at MK personally I feel denied entry to Epcot was valid. It absolutely looks like a cast member costume if the cm was on duty, which he wasn’t. So sorry but I feel he should have known this all along.
