I’ve always wanted to but have never yet to visit Great America. Hoping before end of August I get to make the trip. I was about to make the trip end 1st official week open for summer but car started acting up. I got a pass good for any 6 flags park. Wish Knott’s was included. However I’m hoping I get my car issue fixed this weekend/payday and 2 paydays following would be the perfect time for me to be able to afford the solo road trip. I don’t think my son and nephew are going to make the almost 8 hour drive with me.

They left out that paramount owned it at one point. Hence the “top gun” ride among others. Parts of Beverly Hills Cop 3 were filmed there to justify the purchase.

The ‘closure’ on June 26 was NOT a “surprise.” I joined working at CGA early April and had already seen on their regular website calendar that 6/26/24 had no hours of operation. I even wrote it down on my calendar because I was keeping track of the hours in relation to my possible work schedule. It was not a “surprise”!

Your history has significant gaps including a lengthy ownership by Paramount.
