Six Flags parks have deteriorated over the years. They are basically carnival parks with poor maintenence of rides & filthy conditions. Gangs rule the parks. No thanks.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is the worst run amusment park ever! They never open on time & the last thtee times there the Joker was down & its there best ride

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a joke. My family went a week ago and half the rides were closed. The park is clearly short staffed. Food was nonexistent. Long wait lines and NO ONE was being served at any of the food venues. We checked them all. Six Flags is just a shell of its former glory. Stay away

That is sad. I grew up going there almost daily during the summer. It was great.

Six flags hurricane harbor in Gurnee never seems to have enough staff to open all the slides. It’s almost as if they intentionally open only half of the water park to save money. They clearly found a way to staff the wave pool chairs they started charging to sit at. It seems to be the same in the theme park as well. Not opening certain rides to save $$. I imagine the park president does this intentionally to get a better bonus and show profitablity.

Six Flags over georgia has been deteriorating since the mid 90s. The cost-cutting is very noticeable compared to their hayday in the 80s when they wanted to compete with Disney.
Nowadays, they are so run-down I wont take my family there anymore.

I doubt the reduced operating hours have anything to do with the merger. They are cost saving measures and also a way to fully staff the park with fewer overall employees needed. It’s sad to read so many people dislike their local Six Flags. Six Flags Magic Mountain north of LA is an amazing thrill park.

We used to take our kids to Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo CA and are sad to hear it’s not being run well. Of course the land Great America (owned by Cedar Fair) sits on was sold a few years ago and has since been leased back. Maybe when they close that park they’ll relocate some of the charm and attractions of that park to the nearby Discovery Kingdom.

  5. Facts are six flags follows the wrong people. First to pack the parks they need to stop listening to the woke .
Bring back the way it use to be, simple turn back time and make it happen.

What?!? Ppl just claim anything or any group of ppl they don’t like is “woke” these days. There is nothing woke about Six Flags Over Georgia. Like others have said the cost cutting that has been going on for years has now come to the fore. It’s that simple.

    2. Phil Mateleven

Define woke or do you just mean black people?

      1. Jay

Yes the population that had ruined six flags over Ga and the ridiculous and narcissistic events like gay pride.

  7. Maybe 15 years ago I would have stood in The blazing sun Long walks in The GA 🍑 State six flags it’s gotten worse now ,, people got handgun gangs I hate So much we need a good theme Park nothing really exciting but the cruise ship 🚢 outta the country, we deserve lowered prices and forced to purchase a bathing suit If parts of the Park area is closed absolutely cut down the price for the park

I have not been to our local Six Flags in a very long time. On my last trip the park was dirty, staff was rude and a few attractions closed for maintenance. It’s a shame because it was an amazing place when I was a teen. All my friends had passes and we were there almost every weekend
