The complains by the employees were entirely reasonable and actionable. I hope the employees get everything they’re asking for. The response by the owner or management, was terrible. It is rare to see such a poorly worded and arrogant response.
Ignorance is bliss isn’t it? If this were true, they would not be allowed to have opened the location if not for passing all safety and code inspections and have to undergo monthly or quarterly health inspections as all restaurants and food services do. The wages are also made aware at time of hiring, so it’s not a surprise as to what you make, and by choosing to work there, you agree to the terms and are an at will employee, meaning you can be let go at any time for any reason. These sound like petty things that someone is using to try to take advantage to gain more by trying to leverage these “issues” to try and get what they want, not what they are entitled to. Every business has issues, but none of these sound like deal breakers other than the pants and the heat which they knew about before starting the job, it is Florida so it’s obviously hot. If you aren’t there you can’t agree with anyone that simply makes a statement. Two sides to everything, not always black and white.
You are assuming that this is true, even in the face of current employees contradicting this. Keep in mind that posting this as fact and not including “alleged” leaves you vulnerable to a liable suit. I myself will be more responsible and withhold judgement until the full story is told.
