As always, Dolly is the epitome of grace and compassion. Praying for the two of them dealing with Carl’s illness. I’m very glad to hear Dollywood will be there when I finally get the chance to visit Pigeon Forge. We love you, Dolly!
My precious mother suffered from Alzheimers related dementia.
It is an awful, long, drawn-out disease.
You lose your loved one twice.
Once when they eventually forget who you, and who they themselves are, and again when they pass away.
Funding for curing it has been emense for decades, but little progress has been made, unfortunately.
It is very expensive to go to Dollywood. Been saving up for 20 years to take daughter and 2 grandchildren. Now we have an additional grandchild and a great grandchild. We are late 60’s. I don’t think we are ever going to get to take them.
I’m sorry but what Dollywood are you going to that’s not extremely pricey? I’m what’s called middle class and we can’t take our kids to Dollywood because it’s so expensive.
I absolutely love Dollywood and it’s a favorite place to visit when going to East TN.
Dolly is an inspiration. She uses her fame for good and has never lost her sense of her humble beginnings.
God be with you and Carl Dolly. I’ve tried to leave a comment and it disappears on me. I’ve tried to tell you how much I love you and how proud we all are of you as a female. I hope to come to Dollywood one day I have mobility issues so I’m not sure I can. I walk with a cane. I hope to get a rolator so that I will be able to walk further. Praying for you and Carl. Love you always❤️
Saw her and Porter wagoner at Shole Creek music park in north east Georgia. When I was very young. Never been to Dollywood, but just live three hours away from it. In Sunset, Sc.
We are praying for you and Carl Dolly. My wife and I are dealing with Alzheimer’s with her mom. She doesn’t know me but still sometimes calls my wife by her name. That makes my wife smile. She may not know me , but I know who she is. God bless you Dolly and will keep sending up prayers for you and your family. Oh by the way
GO GATORS. We love you Dolly
Suckered my youngest son into going on one of your rollercoasters when he was 5 and said it didn’t turn completely over… we was quite upset at the time when it did but he has loved coasters ever since and is now 32… just has a problem now getting on due to his size.. we also won radio station tickets to a wrestling event nearby and he travels all over now going to wrestling events… haunts me now to this day some of the places he goes and the time he comes in at night..
My husband of 45 wonderful years, well mostly, and I would love to visit DollyWood. It would be awesome to see Dolly. However, Dolly needs to be right by Carl’s side hopefully still enjoying moments in which he is lucid. She should realize she has given her whole life to the public, this is her time!💕
She is one amazing lady! Loved her Movie “Coat of Many Colors.” I would absolutely love to go to Dollywood! My Granddaughter adores her and her parents take her often. I think she has spent her last two birthdays in Dollywood, (& she is 21! LOL!)
We’ve been going to Dollywood since 1992. It was my (at the time) 5 week old son’s first vacation and theme park combined!! That was 1993. We’ve seen all the changes over the years… some not so complimentary to the original Dollywood design… but nothing stays the same. Our son is now 31 and introduced his college friends (including now our daughter in law) to his love of Dollywood and the Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg area. They all loved it and were happy for him to share his love and ‘tour guide’ of the area. Everyone we’ve introduced to the area continues to return, as do we every year, eventhough we’re 500 miles away!! It’s like coming home 🥰
God bless Dolly and Carl and may He keep them in his loving embrace as they traverse this time in their lives.
Sorry to hear that Carl has Alzheimer’s.
I lost my mom to it added with strokes.
I damaged my spine taking care of her though she had no clue I was her only daughter caring for her against what my family wanted me to do.
According to doctors, she had only 2months to live but I believe in God and HE gave her 1 year more n I don’t regret my spinal issues from caring for her 24/7 plus having a 12 year old daughter that was not easy to handle while my mom was so ill.
My dream has been to visit Dollywood.
Last year in December I finally had the big news about going finally.
Unfortunately, my health is not that great n I had a big seizure days before the trip.
I didn’t want to go to the park not knowing if another one was happening.
So, my husband cancelled the trip for this December.🫣🤔⛰️🪵🎢🎡🎠🎪🧳🌲🤞🤞🤞
I’m so happy for the trip this December for Christmas in the Rockies.
Good morning Dolly I’m in Ohio and I’m sorry to hear about your husband. I’m glad you’re taking time to spend time with him. He’s gonna need you. I took care of my husband for seven years and retired before I wanted to and I don’t regret it because I had that extra time with him, but I love you to pieces are a lot like my favorite aunt. Her personality was like yours. In fact, I think you’re the same age. She was born in March and you in January same year and everybody just loved her and she had one heck of a sense of humor like you do and I always Liked you and I always try to listen to you and watch your movies. Every time I was able to God bless you and Godspeed and please give us updates on how Carl’s doing and how you doing. Remember to take care of you because caregivers sometimes get lost with their loved ones just putting them first all the time that’s what I did. I was devoted to my husband , but just remember to take care of you too. I wish you good luck and a wonderful life as you’ve had all these years and you’ve made everybody else’s life happy and you are such a joy to watch. God bless you and take care.

It’s such an honor to live in her home state. I’m in love with it and it’s so, so beautiful. Thank you for showing kindness.

I love Tennessee and traveling through here every year. Too bad that Dollywood has gotten so expensive that most families can’t afford it.

No it is not.

Get your facts right. Dollywood does not have a Iron Rattler (its’s in Texas) and the Iron Menace is in Pennsylavania. I’m local to the park.

She should have never changed the name of Dixie Stampede. No respect for the nation’s History
Kara
Just STOP. Changing the name was the absolute right thing to do.
Kara
Thank you Dollywood for choosing to do the right thing.

Visit Pigeon Forge often. Have been to DollyWood several times. Christmas time is wonderful. Was able to see Dolly perform and met her.
