We sat on the lawn by Circque for over an hour, only to be informed that the event was canceled, this past Saturday night. The crowds leaving was massive!
Not a reason to cancel a vacation, but if you think about it–if crowds is a problem for you, should you go to Disney World? If crowds are an issue–visit during the week in January or February. During the week in the fall is also a good time to visit.
We were there and it was indeed super crowded as ANY groundbreaking Disney event will be during the 1st few days. However, it was hardly a “nightmare”. We anticipated long entry and exit lines and so we sat and had a beverage and dessert at House of Blues while the crowds thinned after the show. The event was very well staffed and well organized and well worth the wait. It’s simply common sense to not go to ANY Disney attraction on its opening weekend if you aren’t prepared to wait in lines and dont want to deal with crowds.
So my family and I went to that show 2 days ago. What takes so long are people with there phones out like this person is. Not to mention the amount of foreigners that don’t understand how to follow directions. The biggest thing that people need to know is I have spent over 300+ dollars just to make sure my kid can ride some rides and that only guarantees 3 rides. So others shouldn’t go off of the crowds and more on the outrageous amount you have to spend on just a few rides
I no longer go to Disney world. The way the whole park is set up is unacceptable. And the costs makes it not worth it. It should be one price to get in the front gate to go anywhere any of the areas you want. If you don’t have the reservation and the park is already too full too bad
Um…opening of any event, anywhere is crowded not just Disney. People going should know that. I would have used that time to hit some rides and watch the show another time.
I don’t go to our local fireworks show on the 4th anymore because of crowds and no parking, plus mosquitoes.

Just want to correct the fact this isn’t Disney springs first drone show. DS had a holiday drone show back in 2016.
