We have been to the parks a lot over the last 5 years and they sell a Men’s loader that is khaki and Croc brand that is the most comfortable shoe for Disney. Slightly edge out my Hokas for about a third of the price. Even has a Mickey on them. Got mine in Animal Kingdom just goofing around til the rain stopped. I’m wearing them right now at my job. They are amazing.

  2. I have inherited peripheral neuropathy (the pain sort). Orthofeet sneakers and vionic sandals work for me. I know they are pricey, sometimes you can get deals on Amazon. My daughter complained of foot pain early on the trip. I gave up my orthofeet sneakers to her and wore vionic sandals for the length of the trip. Both of us were not in pain with these amazing products. First time for me. Usually at the end of the day I have ice packs on my feet. Hope this information helps.

My biggest advice is if your going to Disney World (or anywhere) during the hot-humid summer months and where you’ll get afternoon downpours you need to wear shoes that can get soaked but then dry off quickly. No one wants to carry around another pair of shoes and then have to put those wet shoes into their backpack.

Also I think closed-toe shoes or sandals are equally important. The last thing your want is to get your toes stepped on or stubbed into something!

Many years ago I though a good pair of quality sandals would be good, so I got Teva. They turned out to be horrible! The straps where made of suede and after getting wet cause horrible blisters. Years later I got Crocs. At the time they made canvas loafers with the bottom band and soles “rubber” (or whatever it is). So when the shoes got wet the water ran out the sides and the canvas uppers dried very quickly and no blisters. Unfortunately Crocs has a bad habit of discontinuing styles all the time so I could never find these again. But they were the best.

My final advice is this: A couple weeks before you go test out your shoes if you can. If your going on a vacation where it’s going to be humid and rainy at times, put on your shoes, take your hose and soak them while on your feet. Now go for a long walk and see how they feel and how quickly they dry.
That will tell you if they will be right for your trip to Disney WOrld.
