While most of the attention goes to Walt Disney World Resort and the likes of the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT, there is nothing quite like visiting Disneyland Resort in California. Not only is it home to Disney California Adventure, but it’s also where you can experience multiple classic attractions like Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Space Mountain.
The most exciting addition in recent memory is easily Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The Black Spire Outpost on Baatu is home to some of the best theme park attractions in the world and plenty of free-roaming characters from the Star Wars Universe. Now, it looks like some highly-anticipated characters will finally make their official debut.

Galaxy’s Edge has some of the best walk-around characters of any theme park, creating an engrossing atmosphere that actually makes you feel like you’re in a galaxy far, far away. Now, some droids will be coming into the mix for a limited time.
First introduced for a day of testing last Fall, the fan-favorite BD-X droids will officially begin making daily appearances in Disneyland Park during the Season of the Force event from April 5 through June 2, where they will roam throughout the Black Spire Outpost, weather permitting.

The BD-X droids have gained popularity among theme park and Star Wars fans for being unbelievably expressive despite their small stature. Their inquisitive heads and adorable antennae easily put them on par with the likes of R2-D2 and BB-8 when it comes to cutest droids.
Some other treats you can expect for Season of the Force are the return of Hyperspace Mountain, new characters and scenarios debuting in Star Tours – The Adventure Continue in Tomorrowland, and uniquely themed merchandise and food. Basically, it’s the perfect time to be a Star Wars fan at Disneyland.
