There is. Nothing wrong with this one and should be a model for schools across the country.

In 2023, U.S. News released its Best States ranking, which lists Florida as the top state in the country for education.
While the Sunshine State placed at No. 10 overall, the report lists Florida as a state with a “sizable system” of universities and community colleges. Appears DeSantis touts are out of context.

Why is Disney getting involved outside its wheelhouse, again? Disney is an entertainment company. Ot should butt out of political issues that don’t affect it. Is it perhaps, that Disney is worried that if this bill results in more well-educated kids those kids may realize how over-priced Disney entrrtainment is?

Speaking of education, it takes a well-educated person to read this article and realize that Disney is not directly affected by this new legislation and have therefore had no reason to comment on it. They can’t butt out of something when they’ve never butted IN.

Finding it very hard to grasp how this new education law doesn’t affect Disney? One would think Disney employees just might have children in the Fl school education system as well as Disney wanting the best education for children in general whether residing in Fl or any other Us state.

Do you think Disney should comment on all our laws? We are gonna be voting on legalizing Pot in the next election. Should they get involved with that? Where do they draw the line? Do they get involved with California’s politics? They need to stay out of politics that don’t affect their business located here in FL. The employees who work for Disney all have a vote and can make their own decisions.

The original legislation affected Disney employees directly because many of them are LGBTQIA+ and it became a civil rights issue. I don’t anticipate Iger being urged to speak out on the issue of charter schools simply because it might affect the children of some of his company employees. I don’t believe this issue carries the same weight. But who knows? We shall see.

As a stock holder, I hope Disney sticks to entertainment and steers clear of yet another hot bed political issue. Any business that intervenes or inserts itself into the debate will in all likelihood anger a portion of its customer base; resulting in unrealized profits.

As a stock holder myself, I prefer to see Disney be on the right side of history regarding civil rights. I trust that the stock will right itself eventually, especially now that the primary cause – the pandemic – is behind us (knock wood).

The author needs therapy. He can’t get over the battle being over and Disney had to surrender.

How do you figure Disney surrendered…..both parties agreed to halt lawsuits from both sides…..and Disney will wait out DeSantis’ tenure and see what the political landscape looks like in Fl at that time whether to take further action of current draconian laws on the Fl books.

Not a huge DeSantis fan any more, but this “don’t say gay” is garbage. He never said that. What he did say was that neither gay OR straight may talk about things like sexual orientation. That said, if kids ask a question, it may be discussed. It just can’t be brought up by the teacher. I e got no problem with it.
