Das defenders are a scam please stop posting stuff here wdw knows about them along w other companies bc they change their names often. Stop giving people like this a voice. You want the truth ask wdw like i did nothing is changing you need das you will get assistance just note many of us are invisible and they are helping us be seen. Wdw is following every rule its other companies that arent and are breaking the law.
People need to understand the difference between a “need” and a “want”. DAS is meant to make a day in Disney possible, not easier. For some people, a DAS is the only accommodation that will work; for most who have it, it’s something they’ve become used to, and it makes Disney easier.
That’s a want, not a need. Disney has to provide a reasonable accommodation, not the preferred accommodation.
Ah yes the “entitled” attitude of those physically Disableds.
This is disgusting and this “legal professional” is grossly a ableist.
Good job giving garbage like that a platform and not the millions of Disabled people these changes will prevent from ever being able to access the parks.
Its all about the money they realize there missing out on from the people to use Genie Plus. They realize the people can be accomindated if they just buy the pass. Solution they should just get rid of das completely then. Or free genie plus and only charge for lightening lane. Disney is no Different than any other theme park in the world nothing makes them special anymore
My wife is being denied Das and no accommodations are being meet. She has pots she will faint and convulse when hot. They are telling people with pots don’t come when it’s hot. how is that reasonable accommodation? It’s central Florida we used to be pass holders and go once a month (except in the middle of summer). Universal overhauled there disability pass and we got upgraded to gold where we are escorted to the ride through a back way.
My mom also has POTS, we wouldn’t dare think of booking a trip to Florida during the hot months. It’s not because we fear her not getting accommodated, it’s because a loved one’s health should always remain paramount. Ultimately a person is responsible for knowing their limitations and how their specific condition might be exacerbated if a certain action is done. I don’t agree with the changes Disney has made to the DAS program which we have utilized for my child(who may or may not qualify now) but Disney can’t be responsible for providing accommodations in every situation, it’s just not possible. I’m glad they’re cracking down, but frustrated that some of the solutions just aren’t logical, functional or practical.
All the trolls come out to say disney is wonderful. Disney is discriminating against disabled people. The accommodations are horrible. I hope the Florida ag continues to look into the complaints. This person quoted is not a lawyer she is hot head. Speak to the Florida ag not some opinated nothing.
