I’d like to state for the record that my replies were not initially directed at Charlie, but were intended for a frequent commenter named Steve whose remarks seems to have been erased from this thread…which is why my comments now seem like weird non sequiturs. LOL
Business decisions should be based on Business, not politics! Decisions should cater to ALL potential customers based on the business model. Changing ride scenes or themes to not offend is good business, changing to cater to employees or activist groups is not good business. Making political statements is ALWAYS BAD FOR BUSINESS because they always alienate someone.
The woke train is in the process of leaving the station. In a very short period of time all the virtue signalling bs will just be seen as a temporary aberration.
I love it when the crazies (like General Steve up above) come out of the woodwork, makes for good entertainment. Party on Steve, party on, the voices will be quite soon.
You realize I’m not just a military man, I’m an officer as well? My family in Congress can have you prosecuted. Nepotism is a beautiful thing when it’s on your side.
We will be meeting soon enough. Oh yes, we most certainly will. I look forward to smacking you with a rolled up newspaper, which is exactly the respect you and your laughable military service deserve, and especially for your January 6th hijinks. Now back to your prison cell, GI Joke. Internet time is over.
While some things/topics can potentially be problematic, to just wipe out anything that the vocal minority complains about can be as well. Yes, while “we wants the redhead” is a classic, it is problematic in the real world. But is a theme park attraction the “real world”? The changes made to Pirates to pacify the vocal minority are almost more embarrassing than the original problems.
As for Splash. Yes, the movie causes a stir in today’s social climate. But it has not been widely available for years. Many of those having issue with it have likely never actually seen it and are simply piling on to the outcry. But really that is beside the point. The attraction is NOT the movie. Uncle Remus, the character people claim was exploited in the movie isn’t anywhere in the attraction. Splash is simply about a clever little guy / under-dog (Brer Rabbit) who outwits the bullies (Brer Bear and Brer Fox) Unless someone decides to get their knickers twisted and preach righteous indignation at a child after they ride it, said child would likely never have any idea what movie or stories those characters even came from. But these days it’s all the rage to shout your outrage. I know it’s the same ride track. But while the story line was a loose one in Splash, and I truly hope to love Tiana’s retheme, I find that one potentially as problematic. That timeframe in the deep south wasn’t great for people of color either after all. And I’m sorry, looking all over for missing ingredients for some recipe doesn’t spell “excitement” or “adventure” to me. It sounds more like running errands and a trip to the grocery store. But we’ll see I guess.
Every complainer in these comments who stays home and avoids the new PC rides means that much more space in the queue line for me and my obnoxiously woke friends. Woo hoo!
Few people like you won’t help at all and it’s not good enough. PC is only failure according to the stock number. Anyone who says otherwise is only lying.
I’m not trying to help Disney. I’m trying to have fun as a park-goer, and a shorter line is simply a bonus as my friends and I break into an enthusiastic chorus of “Almost There.”
Comments for Disney Fans Agree: Political Correctness Is Good for the Theme Parks

Awww isn’t that cute, Gomer Pyle over here thinks he’s somebody. Run back to the Cuckoo’s Nest Little Gomer…

PC is BS to the vast majority. Disney is actually alienating it’s core audience.

We all agree you couldn’t have said it better, and yet you often try anyway, to everyone’s amusement. Thanks for the laughs.

Admitting publicly that you and your son share similar fetishes might not be the wisest choice on a Disney fan site.

To quote Indiana Jones, “I’m like a bad penny I always turn up.”

Disney needs to focus on the MAGIC!

Just because you play with G.I. Joe’s and play dress up doesn’t exactly make you a military man…sir haha

Are you making a threat? Or are you afraid that you won’t have the PC police for much longer?

I think steve’s family in congress should strongly take up mental health reform this session, the little boy is obviously struggling.
