Seems to me, that Ms Sophia created this issue herself. She pushed the boundaries to see when Disney would scream ‘uncle’. And when they did, she cried unfair. I think the character integrity issue was just the straw that broke the camel’s back. Next job, I would recommend that she needs to work on her timeliness and the ways she handles grievances or she will once again find herself fired.
As a former Disney leader, I have to tell you, you have to work hard to get fired from the company. Even if you are in your 90 probationary period, you have to really screw up to get fired.
I was on the design and operations team of Chef Mickey’s and as management, we made sure ALL cast members had a fantastic work environment. The actors portraying characters at Chef Mickey’s had their own breakroom with comfy furniture. They were also well fed, bringing them plates of food from the buffet every day.
No sympathy from me for her termination, though managing her must have been fun….
Reminiscent of Rene Ziegler, ironically Snow White, with her entitlement. Constantly late so much she was reprimanded, bashing the company on line, and just plain thinking did no wrong and should keep her job. Welcome to the real world. Stop living under Mommy’s roof and grow up. Realize that it’s not all about you and that everything you do has consequences. Especially in a large corporate world like Disney. It’s their rules, not your interpretation.

I could only watch 12.5 min of her 25 min video. I found her super annoying and self righteous. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you comes to mind. She bit and they bit back.
I would have fired her as well. She lacks professionalism, ethics and maturity. She sounded self absorbed and good luck for her finding another corporate job. She broke multiple rules and publicly criticizing them is a red flag to other companies looking to hire her.
I THINK THAT BEGIN SICK AND WORKING IN THE FLORIDA HEAT MIGHT NOT BE A GOOD LOOK FOR ANY CAST MEMBER. WHY WAS SHE MADE TO LEAVE HER RESIDENCE DO THEY LIVE ON THE CAMPUS OF DISNEY WORLD. I THINK THE SEXIST OF THE MERMAIDS IF YOU DONT LOOK GOOD IN YOUR SUITE WHO DECIDED WHEN TO MAKE THEM LOOSE WEIGHT OR YOU CAN’T WORK.
DISNEY HAD A LOT OF BAD PRESS THIS IS JUST MORE OF THE SAME I WONDER IF WALT HAD THIS IN MIND FOR THE MAGIC. I DONT THINK SO.
So…having trouble being on time for her shifts and deciding to not follow the rules including negative posts about your employer while still employed there? Make sure you bring these things up during the interview process for any future jobs so you can make sure you are hired by a company that will be fine with those actions by their employees. Good Luck “Snow White”
Rules in the work place are made to be followed. She knew the rules, and continued to break them. She has no one to blame but herself. Disney seems to be a really cool place to work. She should have considered it to be a privilege to work at the happiest place on earth!
Another spoiled gen-x-er. Had a job of a lifetime! Just finish your contract and exit with grace. But no, let’s prove to be damaged and try to monetize from it. Yes, that will fly like a lead zeppelin.
Gen-X-ers, like myself, are in our 50’s now. Lol. I think you meant Gen- Z? Can’t blame a generation for entitlement, though. I don’t know this young woman and can’t comment on what its like to work for Disney. However, we have all heard the rules about working there so employees can’t claim they didn’t know the terms of employment. If they find it unfair, then don’t take the job.
I don’t really know what this is about but I guess say I’ve heard throughout the stories about how difficult Disney to be. And that it could be really difficult working for them with all the rules and stuff that goes on well I was there there were times on the things, but it every day I’ve sold it changes and they don’t have any control of it, there’s no particular control for anything that seems to go on there. It was cool meeting the characters I was there though.
I feel that unless you really know what someone’s going through on a job or what’s really going on it’s hard to really say what’s happening.

Yes! Agreed! A job of a lifetime! Good luck to her trying to get cast elsewhere.
