Yes, the early mega success of MCU was phenomenal. Because it was based on real story telling that locked us in with compelling stories and solid characters that we could relate to. Super heroes that had to pay the light bill and were worried about things we worry about. Somehow that got lost. Commercial success led to sloppy storytelling and relatable content. I applaud the reset.
First of all, I not gay or anything. But I am smart enough to know the world I grew up in different. I may not like it but I am ok with it. But you deliberately try to retrofit a character to fit a particular agenda or ideology or political or social or cultural belief, you are going to fragment and fracture your audience. Let us say that your film audience including families traditional and nontraditional, I dare say you might pull 1% to 5% of total audience. I tell you, Disney, Microsoft, Facebook, Meta or Google or their Chinese or India/ Bollywood version, a revolution is in the air, competition and innovation is name of the game in age of Quantum computers, AI based systems, we are on verge of a golden age and we will look on these times as new dark ages we are slowly but surely climbing out of. There will be some entrepreneur come up with some billionaire or millionaire group they establish a whole new sci Fi film or fantasy or anime world, suddenly Disney and Meta and all other big names will if they are not careful and not forward thinking in their vision they will be next version of Kodak or Netscape or Blockbuster or other companies became the modern version of being a dinosaur and maybe out the decay and refuse, a whole new company that is completely revolutionary and always there to see it but didn’t have enough courage and money to make it happen.
