One thought is that in marketing you always want to expand your base. So far in the last few years they have forgotten you can’t exchange the old base for the new. Many of these large corporations have forgotten this. Disney is suffering from that failure. They have alienated the original strong base for a smaller possibly less devoted group.
I think DeSantis has a big hand in this. When a person in power has a temper tantrum, the damage spreads to all. He should have paid more attention to the true needs of his state instead of promoting his ‘anti-woke’ agenda in order to gain higher office. Not only has Disney paid, so has Florida.
