Many entertainment companies have realized that audiences will wait until something comes out on streaming rather than go to the theater to save money and for convenience. Audiences have come to expect that in a post covid world, especially when movies like Strange World was released to D+ only a month after theaters. The delay in releasing Wish is probably moreso an attempt to reset those expectations – – if you want to see this movie soon, then come back to the theater!

I agree. If the only way to see a movie is to rent or buy it digitally for an extended period, the company stands to profit more from it before making it available to Disney+ subscribers.

Especially when you know there’s a high likelihood it will be bad.

“it wasn’t objectively a bad film”

what does that even mean ?

objectivity is the opinion of nobody

I’m sure someone will watch it. Most streaming content is just background noise for remote workers anyways.

At this point, I rather trust Saberspark’s movie review and several other YouTubers about Wish. This movie has too many plotholes unexplained like magic logic. There was also some characters with very small roles that did nothing for for the story like the main character’s mother or the villain’s wife and queen. The Disney references dragged the movie down. The story suffered the most, due to executive corporate meddling and massive layoffs as of recently.

I don’t care what other people say I rather enjoyed the movie
