Came here to say this same thing

        Run don’t run.
Disney is closing Disney is staying open. Disney is blocking this or that. It’s the same crap everyday. I really don’t think any of you REALLY no what’s happening at Disney.

Actually I was glad to see this article. I haven’t been there in more than 20 years, have zero plans to visit and didn’t know it was still open.

They’d have to pay ME to go there.

Absolutely amazing on how a company can be so Greedy and take advantage of situations. Long ago Disney was not like this. Now there just like every other company and it’s all about Money and to hell with everyone else. Bob Iger has to make his 27 million a year salary and they will do everything and anything to accomplish this.

I think someone got a shot before the park opened. We sent friends over the weekend and it was busy but not packed. I find most of the posts here more akin to an old fashioned game of telephone and far from factual.

Fook them, so tired of Iger ruining company

Best time to go to Disney is to never go there!

Yep. Haven’t been there this millennium and no plans on changing that fact. Nothing but a total ripoff. Back in the 70’s that place used to be FUN. Not anymore.

When I went to school spring break what’s that? Didn’t exist. And in Japan kids go to school year round but high school is only for 3 years. Wish I’d been a zygote somewhere in the Far East but of course we got absolutely no say in the matter. Yep top 6 smartest countries on the planet are all located in the Far East. Vietnam happens to be one of them. We ain’t even in the top 50 anymore (and if you don’t believe that drive around the block). Disgusting.

Disneyland has out priced themselves to the everyday person here in California. The obserditiy that one can not wake-up in the morning and just go to the park is so 😔 SAD. To make a reservation to attend the them park that has been in Anaheim since the 50’s is shameful. The hards thing as the park changes it has lost its charm of being the Happiest Place on Earth.

The Sorcerer pass is not blocked out. That’s only for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

  8. It’s always a lighter crowd when it rains. Would love to be there now.

Oh so not true. I’m a cast member, rain doesn’t matter. Guests plan months or even years in advance paying thousands. They’re not going to let a little rain keep them away. Locals yes but definitely not tourists. I wish it would! Especially where I work!!!! lol

Hiking prices is a practice I will not support. Have never been to any Disney park in Orlando. Never will. Disney’s greed will keep me away.

The magic is gone. Walt is turning over in his grave. I will probably never go back. It is not worth the price or time, which makes me, a former frequent visitor of Disney World, sad.

    1. Diane

I say the same thing about Walt. He turned over so many times that there’s only dust left. It breaks my heart. They destroyed his vision, his dream. It was for the people, now it’s for their wallets!

My grandson and his new bride were at WDW from March 16-20, her first trip to the parks. I warned them several times about the possibility of crowds and long lines, and recommended they arrive at the parks about an hour before opening. They caught the first bus from Kidani to AK (it was still dark outside) and they were the only guests on the bus! In all their photos and videos there were few if any other guests in the background. They rode several rides twice in a row and rarely waited in line over 15 min. I told them they were incredibly lucky to hit such a slow week. I guess all the warnings from Disney about heavy crowds were heeded and had many people choosing other times to visit.

Hey folks. Dont think you are missing out by not going to Disney World. Its an absolute joke with rising costs and no more perks available. Go spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. Theres a whole wide world out there just waiting to be found. A lot more bang for your buck is guaranteed as not all companies and vacation resorts are wanting to rip you off in the same way as Disney. I cant quite believe my thoughts have come to this . . . and neither would Walt. GREED GREED GREED
