Lol while it’s quite obvious that you didn’t actually read the article, you’re absolutely right that they need to be better.
Writing that as the title of the article after the trailer was already released, just a few months away from the movie release is absolutely ridiculous. It’s also pathetic. Simply written just to panic fans and click on the article.
They also must be desperate, because the fact that the original DP3 was scrapped in favor of this one has been public knowledge since before they even started production. Meaning there was literally no reason to even share this information, with or without that ridiculous title.
Companies like this just put out anything because they’re most likely being pressured to put something out even if they don’t know what they’re talking about! These guys, ScreenRant, and a bunch others do it, it’s such ashame.
It’s never been done within the world of the main MCU, they already announced the cast list for the MCU version with Pedro Pascal as Mr Fantastic and that it will be set in the 1960s. It may have been twice already, but one of those was the soft Fox version, and the other one was an abomination. In the MCU, if done right, it will be a much better version and be very important to the overall narrative of things to come.
We had Spider-Man twice before the MCU did it but their version was leagues better than the two that came before.
I think the new idea they went with for Dead Pool looks great. It would be hard to lose with Reynolds and Jackman working together. Also love Electra. Excited to see her back.
We need quality no matter what, they ned to make factual stories from original content and better characters that actually resembles the original character.
I’ll believe it when I see it. The upcoming slate has been the same since Phases 5 & 6 were announced, with a little tinkering regarding the order, so MARVEL making any major changes on the recent reception is highly unlikely. I’ll be curious as to how much DP&W plays into the bigger picture, but if a major reboot is coming, it’ll be Secret Wars at the earliest I suspect. Personally I’d prefer just resting the MCU for a decade and then having a triumphant return instead, similar to what they did with Star Wars (eventually quality of the sequel trilogy not withstanding, the hype of The Force Awakens was real!!!)
People are getting tired of these super hero movies. Who wants to see ant man and the wasp or the marvels. That and the fact Disney has taken over equal a disaster. Disney is so woke that no one wants to see their movies. They keep remaking the same movies over and over with different actors. No on cares. They’ve done two fantastic four movies that no one wanted to see and now they’re going to make a third thinking g people will go see it. They won’t. And who cares about the marvels. No one wants to see movies with a bunch of female superheroes. Sorry but not sexist. It’s just a fact. Same reason people don’t want to watch the WNBA or women’s soccer
Oof. Someone thinks highly of their own opinion. First, Disney had nothing to do with the other 2 Fantastic 4 attempts, one of which was successful enough to earn a sequel, the other was such an abomination that it should be wiped from existence. And the moderately successful one was in the early days of super hero movies, there wouldn’t be a multi billion dollar earning MCU without those mediocre Fox X-Men and Fantastic 4 movies. Second, most of the “woke” things in any of the MCU come from the comics, and a lot of the “woke” parts of the comics haven’t even appeared in the MCU yet. What you call “woke” is actually just representation of people that make up a larger portion of the population than you are willing to admit. Third, The Marvels did not fail because it stars female super heroes. WandaVision was an incredible success, the first Captain Marvel earned over a billion dollars, Wonder Woman was very well received. It failed because they lost control of quality by way of prioritizing quantity, which they themselves have admitted and have announced plans to course correct. Only time will tell if they can regain the level of success they once knew, not someone with a narrow minded view of how “everybody” thinks.
Maybe people like him make up a larger portion of the population than YOU realize, especially when it comes to comics. And I would argue that since “woke” didn’t exist until 2015 that no, they were not “woke”. You can probably find a more politically diverse crowd reading comics in the 90’s than you will at the Barbie movie. Things like, “treat people with dignity” and “do things for unselfish reasons” aren’t “woke” principles, which is probably why they resonate with more people than saying “Everything is bigoted so over-correction is needed and the ‘oppressors’ must be punished”. At best you can say comics ‘lean left’, but you also have to factor in that this generation is effectively re-writing history so they can have something to be upset about when the truth is most of them live in temperature controlled homes and can afford to be upset about what someone is saying online.
I like how the heroes wear slacks these movies, I seem to remember in the older times much of it was spandex, or a suit made of artificial muscles, or no pants at all in the watchmens, but the integration of slacks into the costuming was a game changer IMHO for a broader appeal.
Marvel needs to stop making movies that appeal to the small demographic. The vast majority of viewers want to be entertained. They do not want to propagandized to with woke messaging and ideology. Make a film that the masses will enjoy. Do that, and the $$$ will return. But if the woke agenda is more important, than Disney and Marvels demise will continue.
Movies are a product of the era. James Bond represented the Cold War spy fantasy, and struggled to find a resonating villian after 9/11. Superhero movies were mostly low budget flops before 9/11, but box office gold after 9/11, appealing to audiences need for heros to fight terror. But that era ended with the pandemic. The real life villian is no longer terrorists, and is no longer communist nations. The new real life villian is cultural divisions brought on by extremist politics within the U.S.. The new real life villian is within us, and Superheros don’t play to that backdrop. 2023’s blockbuster was Barbie, a commentary about our culture.
To let you know that I will never read another thing you ever write ever never ever ever forever never million trillion billion. Comments for Marvel Scraps ‘Deadpool 3’, Reboots MCU Instead
Parker
Very confused how marvel has “scraped” Deadpool 3 or however you are trying to define that word in this context but hey, it’s your article
Bo
Can this site every report on anything factual? Marvel isn’t scrapping Deadpool 3. Be better!
Ryco
Reading things is important, but the original Deadpool 3 was scrapped and DPvW was created instead.
Me
On the contrary, another Deadpool movie is on the schedule to be shot in Georgia. Working in the industry has it’s perks.
Chazz Dibianco
Who is this that posted this comment? I do not work in the film industry so stop impersonating me!
Rob

I think they meant there was another Deadpool 3 that got scrapped an few years ago. This is a different film

Making assumptions due to poor writing and chatgpt copying and pasting isn’t going to cut it.

I seriously hope they have it wrong about The Fantastic Four. It’s already been redone. Do we seriously need it a third time?!
