The Star Wars wasnt “Star Wars” in Skywalker trio of movies. Which were just remakes of Episode 4,5,6. Force Awakens was just a modern day star wars with the Death Star. Creative writing and direction was evident in Rogue One & Season 1+2 of The Mandalorian (Season 2 was epic) Season 3 was absorbed by same issue that plagued the Skywalker trio.

Fan of all things starwars since 77 but there are always less than prominent movies of plots within starwars but Lucas films has always shown us that if we get a bad movie or series, then Lucas films usually comes through on the next one.

“Would you have preferred to see the First Jedi movie over the Dawn of the Jedi movie? ”
    How would we know???
As the third trilogy showed, you don’t know what you’ve got until it actually hits the screen.

It’s too bad you guys don’t have the guts to say that the Ray movies canceled too. Bob Eiger at that investors call in February did say movies were quietly canceled and your femininaz movie is canceled too.. It looks like rogue squadron is going to happen now, but you didn’t mention that.

What a waste of potential. Disney will never understand how much $ they lost by DESTROYING a fantastically build universe to bring their Feminized, DEI garbage to the screen. After Ep. 8, Disney will never get another penny from me, nor will anything outside the first 6 movies ever be shown to my children. Anyone I’ve convinced to go through the Legends content agrees Disney has wasted so many good story lines, that they’ve also sworn off Disney. Everything Disney Star Wars has done need to be destroyed and forgotten.

Lol. Imagine being this upset in your life over a set of bad movies. Get a grip.

feminized….DEI….predictable. sorry women & minorities trigger you.

Just stick to a good story and characters first! Keep the politics OUT and I’ll go watch a couple times and buy merch etc

My Star Wars includes 1-6 + rogue one. It does not include 7-9 or solo a hand job story

    Disney has killed star wars.
It had a good run, but it was a train wreck, a very expensive train wreck at the end. It didn’t have to be this way, but they chose to have boardrooms replace the creatives, and replaced the ‘Hero with a 1,000 faces’ Lucas meta-narrative with a woke meh- narative. I used to be excited for Star Wars, now I await the cultural vandals to deconstruct themselves.

Kennedy ruined the whole Star Wars line by not making the books cannon. Those books are what made the story lines. Every8ng in those books continued to carry the movies in every way. Kennedy was so Eager to get rid of the Skywalkers lineage. I’m not a fan of how the new content is being cherry picked from the books that should be cannon. I loved every one of the books that I have collected and now Kennedy is saying “it was a dream” of some sort. I truly believe that Kennedy is not a true fan of anything Star Wars.

The problem with the books being cannon is some books took place at the same time so how was Luke or obi wan or whatever time period the books were in and what character it was couldn’t be in 2 places at the same time. That was the problem with keeping books cannon. What they should have done is found alot of the stories that would have worked and renamed them to film

Disney star wars is horrible. Nobody is going to watch this crap. Lol I guess disney has a lot of money to burn

When the news broke that Disney was buying the franchise from George Lucas I was pleased because I actually believed Disney would do the fans and George proud by making good movies and shows. The complete opposite has happened and Woke Disney have destroyed the franchise with their girl boss, cancel men crap. Star Wars Vissons 2 was cancel men in the Star Wars universe at its best.

Disney Star Wars needs to be removed from Canon and Kathleen Kennedy sent out to pasture. Timothy Zahn should be brought in to write the screenplays.

Waves of applause?!?! When Kennedy announced the new rey movie about 5% of the audience applauded. Everyone else groaned. And that’s the rub. About 5% of the star wars fans want a new rey movie. The rest of us wish she would be retconned into non-existance. Ur so out of touch. Only the Mando content is wanted, and that’s a big stretch after Disney turned S3 into the Bo-katan show. Seriously, Kathleen Kennedy and the sequel trilogy are the worst thing to happen to Star Wars.

Blah blah blah! My biggest complaint is that there is no OG trilogy, in widescreen, in 4k! Keep the rest

  15. The original Star Wars worked because it had solid storytelling, compelling characters and left politics out of it. Most of us do not care if it is a man or woman playing the part, just make sure the characters are compelling and relatable. I personally would have loved an origin story and the Game of Thrones duo would have been perfect to make this happen. The problem is simply Kathleen Kennedy who has no idea what fans really want. The D. I. E. (I will not call it d.e.i.) political agenda are the biggest reason itnis failing. Give complete control of all Star Wars content over to Jon Favreau and the issues will be fixed.

The sequel trilogy destroyed the fan base. No one but the zombie fans of Disney will pay to see this . Which will not bring any profit. Attacking and disrespecting true fans has led to this downfall. Checking boxes is your main downfall. Hiring people with no real interest is keen to failure. How much money can you keep bleeding out to check another box that doesn’t support you.

On another note Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron is awesome! These collectables kinda act as a band-aid covering the wound of the festering Disney Star Wars era.

  18. Disney is building a Hello Kitty World theme park and Scrapping the already almost finished Star Wars Theme park, which was built to be larger than Disney world, Epcot combined. Do I really need to say anything about the Disney franchise druids pride collection or the Just Be You BB8? Until Disney sells the Star Wars Franchise in stocks to the fans and then a voted in stockholders party is held to choose where the direction and order goes to make Jar Wars, Luke’s Blue boob milk films, and the JFK (just fire kennedy) conspiracy a reality, we are looking at Yodas film to be puke green for all the wrong reasons. Disney is to Star wars what balding is to hair.

wow! So many snowflakes and it’s April…sad to see people triggered over women & minorities. In the entire movie history, there’s still only a handful of women & the rebellion was actually organized & led by a woman in the OT. The only ones making it political are the certain people throwing tantrums – same group that got offended by the ‘this is how democracy ends’ comment in the prequels. ttt ttttt tttttrrrrigered! It’s sick the hate make and threats made against the new female actors. It’s not politics, it’s literally just every day life to the majority of society. Women exist. Minorities exist. GET OVER IT. Hate on them for bad storytelling or lousy dialogue. But don’t call a rebellion against a fascist empire led by a strong woman ‘woke,’ cause it’s not. Your heads must explode when watching Trek.

Really it’s not an agenda look who they have directing. The director said it’s her goal to make men uncomfortable and the person on the acolyte wanting people that never seen or knew what star wars was so they didn’t know the lore. If that isn’t agenda to put politics for their agenda I don’t know what is.

The issue is pretty simple. For those of us who were there for the original movies, it was earth shattering. We had never seen anything like it, not even close. We clung to it, almost with a religious fervor. It was our mythology – we stayed, watched, and bought things for 40 years. We progressed with the story, with new additions that built on the lore. It was a large part of our lives. The KK stuff then came – It did not build on the lore, it diminished or destroyed it – Luke is a loser, Han is worthless, and Palpatine didn’t really die. It made the 40 years meaningless. And the new characters had no hero’s journey – they are all just awesome from the beginning. It would have been easy to honor the past while creating the new (Star Trek did that through multiple series – never casting aside Kirk and Spock). Luke could have trained her as Yoda and Ben did him. The issue is not Rey is female – the issue is you negated, for no reason, the 40 year history of a story that we had invested in and just threw it out.

Star Wars has always, ALWAYS been about politics. Those who deny this are politically naive and apparently completely illiterate on The Topic of Star Wars. To debate them is folly because there is no argument made coherent enough to merit discussion.

I will say that the sequels were disappointing in one major way not often brought up… They didn’t lean hard enough into the whole Joseph Campbell and and Mythilogical aspect of Star wars. The fairytale and hero with a thousand faces aspect. It was made by people who hadn’t studied classical mythology and psychological archetypes…. but by people who had studied Star Wars and Spielberg blockbusters.
The results are better, or arlt least more competent “movies” than the prequels (except for 9 which is just a mess)… but they are lackluster “Star Wars” and miss the mark on what makes Star wars special and unique and still worth discussing with passion half a century later.
