I haven’t used Genie+ yet but I’m going in September. I’ve watched a couple videos and I’m still confused, afraid I won’t figure it out and miss out some rides I want, since this is my last trip. I took my kids when they were young and it was fun, but this is complicated.
So…would it have been that difficult for the girl to simply tell this woman that she does the same thing she did to get into the park, instead of answering a question with a question?
Some of you people seem really dense. It’s really not that hard. You’ve probably complained longer than it would take to understand the basic functionality.
My family went to Disney in January 2024. I feel the exact same way. The Magic is gone from Disney. I was on my phone all day and was walking from one end of the park to the other to get the most use out of Genie +. It is very overwhelming and just makes you mad knowing how much this trip is costing and you can’t even enjoy it.
Ah the good ol’ days
I went do Disneyworld for the firt time as a young girl probably late 70s. I had a blast. I don’t even really remember the lines. Now when my husband and I take our son to Disneyworld, we decide to just relax and enjoy the atmosphere and whatever rides we are able to ride, we ride. The lines are ridiculous, but if you don’t feel like you need to ride so many rides or particular rides in order to get your money’s worth, it’s still quite enjoyable.
I feel for this poor mom. We used the FastPass when it was a kiosk, then on the phone. We won’t pay for Genie+, but we have been so many times, that we don’t feel it’s worth it to us. But, if this is your one chance, it may worth to pay.

Genie+ is not like fast pass. Fast pass worked. I wouldn’t mind paying for Genie+…IF IT WORKED LIKE FASTPASS! Lightning lanes is a full on money grab!
