This is not a joke, give the part to Chris Rock, he would kick butt at it!

    2. ROGER D STEVENS

      Totally Agree

    3. ROGER D STEVENS

I believe it’s the new allegations of misconduct that made Disney’s decision easier for them.

I think you are Wrong and cut and will smith out of Disney. God says to forgive why can’t you. Everyone makes mistakes Should we not forgive everybody? Will Smith is a great actor. Will Smith was great in Aladdin. Yes he did a bad think. R we going to Condemn him forever. God tells us to forgive, Why can’t you?

  2. Hollie

Disney is being majorly stupid on this. Will Smith is an amazing actor snd I hope they regret their decision.

  3. Deb

Disney needs to stop being judge and jury. Everyone has malfunctions. To trash the industry is detrimental to everyone by refusing or banning actors. He paid for what he did. Now let’s make movies and move on.

I agree , he made a big mistake, he apologized for it , he’s paid his dues . I think it’s a shame to keep penalizing him . I really miss his movies. He’s a great actor

I agree , he made a big mistake, he apologized for it , he’s paid his dues . I think it’s a shame to keep penalizing him . I really miss his movies. He’s a great actor and it would be a shame to cancel him

I think Disney is judgemental. What Smith did at the Oscar’s was unacceptable and stupid. The whole world saw it, so I understand that they cut him from the film. Now Johnny Depp was innocent and they cut him from Pirates, films which he made Disney plenty of money and put them on the map! So I guess they didn’t want to look like idiots, for what they did, and that’s why they kicked Smith out. To me, Robin Williams is the only genie, I don’t think remakes/live performances are all that.

  5. Benjamin Tracey

This sounds like a bunch of balogne. It will not cancel this nor cut ties with him. It would be a foolish move.

  6. ROGER D STEVENS

    Not Really

  7. Wendell

Most ppl deserves a 2nd chance if we’re all honest. Let his body of work define him, not one mistake, that he knew was out of bounds. He is a proven quantity- nuff said!

  8. Sharon jones

Come on now acting is business!!!!!don’t have nothing to do with being slap ! That on a personal note!!!

  9. This is the male version of “Bye Felicia!” Run Will into the ground!

  10. Phil

Well, first Depp, now Smith. Who’s next? Uncle Scrooge McDuck?

    1. Robin

I agree with this, we are expected to learn from our mistakes , why can’t they

This is a tough one. I do think that Will Smith is paying for what he’s done. He should have never slapped Chris Rock for what he said about Jada. Besides, if you look at the whole video it does seem that they (at first) were actually laughing about it. So, what gives. I saw his version of the Genie and I thought that he did a great job. But, since there is such a huge thing (the past several years now) about canceling people for things that they’ve done in the past (and have apologised about it,) “wokeism”, etc. We’ve become way (to a certain degree) to sensitive and rather then do research about certain things or give people a second chance we rather just cancel them period. Let’s just wait and see what actually occurs.

I’m sad. Not that I watch Aladdin, but Will Smith is, a treasure! I mean, I am MIB4Life! And I say it all the time… It’s truly amazing what the cowards in corporations have come too. Biz leaders just need to stand up and stand behind people that have an issue vs. abandon them to the curb. Not every situation is equal, but on a side not, can we please get Kevin Spacey back in action! He served his time too!

  13. Demitrius

👎🏿Disney let him do what he does best !

  14. Kiley

It really wasnt that damn deep and no one even cares anymore. Move on already they act like he killed someone

  15. Lisa

Disney are you Really Serious? Of course what Will did was Awful…BUT Can We not Condemn the Man for Life..He’s a Box office hit, y’all are making a Big Mistake…shaking My head

  16. Jerry

Disney is punishing him ? No I don’t think so…..I can’t for the life of me understand why Will did that…I’m not wasting anymore time on it…I’m going to chalk it up as we really don’t know Will Smith….like we didn’t know OJ Simpson… moving on without him is just fine…. we’ll find another hero to follow….

  17. Julia

With all the violence that American media shows us unrelentingly, how hypocritical it is to punish Will Smith for slapping someone who embarrassed his wife in front of an audience of millions … !!!!
Shame on You Disney … !!!!!!!

  18. Betsy

I’m sure every executive at Disney has done something that is regrettable in their life but Disney didn’t cut ties with them.
I’m sure they’ll lose a lot of money from their decision. Look at all the money they spent making the movie so far. How are they going to recoup that?

  19. Kilovely

The lead actor who played Aladdin had voiced his concerns that he was unable to find work despite that film’s success. It became a whole thing about race. So the slap is just another part of Disney’s PR team stepping away from scandals which Disney has a history of doing.

  20. Andrea

Stupid Disney. Smith is a box office draw and always will be

Will Smith & his wife should both be held responsible.
    She is just as responsible.
I don’t know of anyone who will ever watch either one of them in anything again.
    That is totally unacceptable.

    1. JL

Why should they be held responsible. Some idiot people forget that what Chris Rock did was unforgivable. I wouldn’t have just slapped it. I would have punched his lights out. He made a joke about a medical issue that Jada has and did it on a stage at an event watched by millions. I think the Oscars were wrong in Banning him. I applaud Will Smith for standing up for what is right. Chris Rock is a moron.

  22. Ruby

I think he did a courageous action taking up for his wife with a medical condition also believe it’s called BULLING

  23. Steve

    Boycott Disney

  24. Guy

I find it disingenuous and contradictory that Disney and the movie industry condemns a man for defending his wife with a slap concerning a tasteless joke, but produces movies that promote far more violence and gore!

  25. Sonia

I think we should boycott Disney this is riduculous. Will is a loved family actor. What happened 2 years should stay right there “it’s in the pass” if they devide to do this with out Will then no one should go see it when it does come out. Any actor offered this position should turn it down based on principal because it could be them they come after next.

  28. Debra Rusovick

It’s not like he beat Chris Rock up! It was a slap, in defense of his wife’s condition, and Rock’s thoughtless remark about her. People are making way too much of this. Will has apologized for his actions. What more can he do? The Academy has punished him with a 10 year ban, which is pretty stiff, compared to other actors who have done unconventional things at the Oscars. Why does Disney think it should also punish him? Let’s all just jump on the bandwagon. It’s unbelievable! Who has never done something on the spur of the moment that we regret later? Apologies mean a lot. Forgive him and move on.
