They’ve trashed this incredible company with woke ideology. And been absolutely beat down in the markets. Can anyone with a brain please explain why any of these clowns should still be on the board?
Disney needs to go back to wholesome family entertainment and get rid of their woke ideology.
Stop listening to their California crazies who are trying to run the Florida theme parks.
I agree with you Linda, RIGHT NOW Disney needs new leadership including the board and get back to where Walt would want Disney to be! So all Walter Elias Disney fans make your voices heard so that you can protect Walt’s LEGACY and Disney they are a package !!!
If Walt were alive he would be heart broken
They are destroying his lifes work. His kids and grandcholdrem should be ashamed. Walt wanted to a fatansy land for family fun
Shame on those putting money first
Disney parks are just part of the problem.
They are failing to produce movies that appeal to the majority of their base, which they have alienated by supporting 3% of that base.
Nickel and diming fans at every turn, while decreasing value, does not help.
Stock values have been declining for the past four years.
Publicly declaring political support (side does not matter) caused a divisive rift.
There’s so much more, and for a company that states it is listening to its fans, they sure aren’t trying to implement what they are asking for.
It all starts with the CEO, Bob Iger. Tell me again why there shouldn’t be a change at the helm.
Disney should have been the easiest company to operate, abundant good will and a vast history and library to draw upon. The problem IS Bob Iger (it is RUBBISH to blame Chapek) and the out of touch, woke, overpaid liberal board that is all in on Diversity equity and inclusion. Iger has installed layers of management and creative people that are true believers in pushing their agendas and don’t focus on great stories but indoctrination and preaching. The whole rotten lot of them need to be sacked and they should be accountable for the loss they inflicted on shareholders. Of course Iger and the board will walk away with millions if not billions.
I believe that there is a balance between equality diversity and inclusion and creating a good story and listening to people. Too much of one or the other is a very bad thing. Clearly for a board that is all about diversity and all about listening to people and all about equality and all about inclusion. This board at large in Bob Eiger are pushing too much on all three I believe there needs to be less messages involved in movies and more story. Also more original ideas would not hurt. Equity also is one thing that definitely is a balancing act as well, but it’s less of a balancing act when you consider the story and the diversity and all of that good stuff The one thing that Disney has a very hard time with in my mind at least is not that it can appeal to people. It absolutely can. It’s killing right now but it’s also not killing. The problem is that they focus on one thing at a time. Well, focusing on one thing at a time is great. In the long scheme of things. It’s not great for things in the long run. For instance, using your movies to promote your theme parks is a great idea which I think they should implement more and vice versa. They have a complete animation side that they’re not even utilizing add on to that fact that they’re hardly using their Disney hotel locations or anything to kind of bring things up. A notch or utilizing anything to make good merchandise is not helping them either. Disney wants to be the top dog. It always has been. The problem is it’s making way too many enemies too. Damn fast and only listens to 1% of their actual clientele there is a reason in my opinion that the marvel movies are failing is because of lack of creativity. Creativity is one of the biggest things that Disney seems to be lacking lately they have the diversity. They have the equity. They have the inclusion, but the two things they don’t seem to have enough of these days is the creativity and the ability to step out of their comfort zone true. They’re one big comfort zone. They just stepped out of Hulu’s going to help bring them back a little bit but not the way they need to be brought back. It just goes to show with the new little mermaid movie that didn’t need to be remade into a black movie. As much as you know, people love the concept of a black little mermaid that’s great and all. But they forget why they fell in love with the character in the first place. The whole reason was because she was a fish out of water. She was literally wanting to become a part of the world. There is no even remote mention of the reason why Ariel wanted to be there. It’s all about consenting b******* doing your own agenda and all this other b******* the agenda stuff needs to stop. Otherwise Disney is going to implode it. I mean it already is imploding. It’s hanging on by a thread. Very loose thread that’s getting shorter and shorter by the minute. The only thing in my mind that is keeping them in the game right now is the fact that Kevin feige and George Lucas are with the mouse. If either Kevin feigey or George Lucas decide to pull from Disney Disney’s done okay, it hasn’t made a Mickey mouse thing in years. The only thing that would probably keep him alive if they did something more with them. Their animation side is garbage. It’s all chibi. It’s stuff that kids don’t need. They treat kids like they’re little aimless garbage things that can’t handle an actual grown up story. True, they did release X-Men 97 which is a good step in the right direction, but it’s also the only step in creativity that they have actually made well that was my little rant 😞😔 but at the same time it’s also a very true. Well I am sad to see what Disney has become. I for one am looking for the rebound in this because I always like the underdog story and I’ve been a supporter of Disney for as long as I can remember. Everyone thinks there are this empire that rules the world. If anything, they do not. Yes, they own a vast majority of content, but if you look at things really truly playing out they don’t own as much as you would think they actually own because there are a lot of legality stuff going on behind the scenes. Disney Plus is the main reason to look at that hell they had to put Hulu on Disney Plus combined just to make up the difference of their lack of willingness to put most of their goddamn content on the damn thing. Most of that is because they’re worried about the racistness that could possibly fall out from the wake of some of their old timey stuff. But I say put that stuff on there. The worst is going to do. Is piss off a couple people but the best thing for you is to put it on there. The reason for that is it will educate people on what not to do in the future and will literally tell people hey. These stories were made but you know we’re going away from that. But we don’t want to forget our roots where we came from. We came a long way just to make this happen, but to ignore your roots is basically to alienate yourself from the people at large I find so not putting things like the original Mary melodies of the Santa Claus deal on there or for instance song of the South on there is hurting your Brandon the long run because the more Disney denies that they have skeletons in their closet and don’t address that the more people are going to say bro. You have more skeletons in your closet than anything. If they literally put it all out there then people are going to be like. Oh s*** this is an honest f****** place to go. It’s like it used to be. No one looked at any of the f****** shows in the past and went. I hated these shows or I hate them now because I know what they mean. It’s like no one did that. The only people that did that were mothers that don’t have a clue of what it takes to make something entertaining In shortI guess this is all just to say I have faith in Disney and I had more faith and Bob chepec then I ever will with Bob Eiger cuz at least with chipek. He had a grounded idea of where the hell the brand should go and it’s being argued with that fact of the investors are even starting to realize dude. We’re investing in your brand and you’re giving us absolutely nothing to ensure us that you know. We’re not going to come out as a loss now. That might seem like a you know very oh well there all billionaire so they can afford to take the loss. It’s like no they can’t see on where I’m standing from if I’m looking at this and I’ve literally if I was a person in their shoes and I invested a lot of stock in. Let’s say my best friend and my best friend turned out some of the worst garbage it’s basically like saying to your friend. Hey listen, turn this s*** around. I’m telling you right now as your friend stop being a douche and people won’t pull away from you. That’s all these investors are. They’re just basically saying stop being a douche Disney. Listen to your fans and you will succeed. Otherwise we pull out and stop being your friends. Disney needs more friends than they need Enemies. That’s all I have to say. Sorry about the long rant but they need to do better
Oh it’s obvious Bob iger needs to go. He’s already been caught stating that he feels it’s more important to take political stance And implement those (messages)in his projects. And the proof is in the pudding. No matter how much money he loses he keeps making stuff people don’t want.
They haven’t even begun to touch on why he’s got a power plant And other energy sources getting subsidies from taxpayer money that isn’t producing any power. He’s been doing some pretty scummy And shady BS, losing his seat on the board is at least of his worries when they finally get to the bottom of what he’s been doing to the company.
This is one side of the conversation. When were these magical time everyone is pointing to? When all the stories were about princesses needed saving? When all the characters were white? Before streaming? Let’s be real, by 2035 the United States will be a minority majority country. Seems like Disney is laying a foundation for the audience of today and tomorrow. If Disney is bad, who is doing it right? Seems like no studio is doing great right now. Shareholders are squeezing for money when they don’t invest in the future. How many D23 announcements got cut to save money? Where are all the 50yr improvements? Half were cut before they started. Times have changed. Kids today don’t want to be a prince or princess past the 1st grade. Time to embrace the new reality of the world.
Nelson Peltz and Jay Resulo are the spirit of Walt Disney, and they want to return Disney to the way it was for so many wonderful years under Walt’s leadership. The radical left that has run Disney the last 12 years (into the ground) is an arrogant minority that cares only about spreading their propaganda, not about creating wonderful stories and experiences, as Walt did. Stockholders should cast out Iger, and welcome Nelson and Jay – and the spirit of Walt Disney.

DeSantis wins again in court and in Disney’s recent waiving of the proverbial white flag in abject surrender to America’s Governor — Ron DeSantis.

He actually believes he is Walt Disney.
Iger needs to be FIRED.

Bob Iger is a control freak.
Purchasing fox has to be one of the dumbest decisions in business ever. 71 billion
Iger needs to go. The rest of the board needs a complete shakeup with a new ceo.
All he does is blame Chapek for his mistakes. 6 movies in 2023 lost money. He should be fired.

Fire Bob Iger. I can’t stand him. He ruined the parks.
The magic is gone.

Iger only cares about his damn legacy. He believes he is some kind of god.
He ruined Disney.
