Unfortunately every time we find a working outlet in the park, Disneyland eventually does something to prevent it’s use, they absolutely need charging spaces throughout the park for guests with mobility devices.
So, we have gotten to the point that if you find a working outlet, you neverention where publicly, you keep it to yourself, unfortunately this now means the one she found will likely be no longer usable within a week or two.
They apparently do this to encourage the file rod sales for recharging mobile devices, but this leaves people with mobility devices out in the cold.
Disney can and MUST do better. Disney World has outlets that can be used throughout their parks, so they most definitely CAN, they just are choosing not to. Knott’s just up the street even does a better job at this, their employees even know where the working outlets are and will do what they can to help you get to one.
A few years ago my scooter needed to be charged while watching the fireworks a cast member hooked me up to an electrical outlet by a tree close to the castle she also stayed to make sure I was ok until I got charged and back on my way.
