I fully agree! I feel sorry for families just trying to take a magical vacation and making memories with their children. My friend took her 3 children in October of 2022. It cost them over $10,000 and they didn’t stay Deluxe! I think of all the things that Disney has done wrong since Covid. They did away with fast passes, the also did away with extended hours for all resort guests. I haven’t heard much on this. Prices have sky rocketed and benefits/value has crashed and burned. We love Disney and go at least 1 time a year. I use to be an annual pass holder. But that is another unaffordable thing. Our trips have increased since 2020 $1,500 just for our resort and tickets. Not averaging in the cost of Geni+.
Disney price hikes and the nickle and dime approach has turned our family off of the idea of a Disney vacation. As much as we would love to take our granddaughters, we can’t afford it. Our youngest granddaughter loves Frozen so much! It was instrumental in getting her through the months of being in the hospital with multiple surgeries after suffering a traumatic brain injury due to my daughter’s ex- fiancée. She watched I over and over on a kids tablet, as it was familiar and didn’t add new information for her brain to have to process while it healed.
Instead of that dream trip to Disney through Make-A-Wish, she had a hot tub built for hot water physical therapy but it has a Frozen themed reveal!
Even on three incomes, we can’t afford to go to Disney World.
