I have to agree with another person said, they start this for HHN then they will use it for the parks. Don’t get like Disney! Universal is the #1 theme park please don’t change, you offer get perks to passholders, clean hotels, reasonable ticket prices, get rides, good food restaurants, and most of all, NO FIGHTS ON THE LINES, like the classless people that go to Disney and line jump and cause fights in front of children. You don’t want to go woke, stay as u are.
I’m fine with the idea of reserving the free ticket. Team members now have to reserve days they want to go to HHN, out the few days they’re allowed to go. And comp tickets they get are first come first served reservations for any days now, instead of free-for-alls but with blockout periods. So they’ve been practicing this for a while now.
I visited HHN the past 2 years. Two years ago I was able to visit 8 houses and we left before closing, last year I could only hit 4 and we stayed the entire night. We tried to purchase the VIP at the park but it was sold out. Once I heard the price, I would’ve skipped it anyway as it was $250 per person and it was a half-park tour. I was definitely disappointed and would debate on whether I will go to 2024 HHN. The reservation system doesn’t make sense to implement if you’re looking to limit capacity. It would deter folks who would be attempting to purchase a ticket at the gate.
It limits your foot traffic to the surrounding restaurants and shops. I know they’re capping ticket sales somehow but perhaps it’s mostly to limit the comped ticket admissions.
I agree with the commenters who see it as a sign to come. I’m sure Epic Universe will be a madhouse when it opens and they would need to control the crowds somehow. Perhaps that’s why they are considering this system.
Buy the VIP experience months in advance. Best money we ever spent. They stop half way through for a small buffet and with nearly zero wait times at each house, it can’t be beat. Our third year in a row. Perfect! Also the daytime tour was not to be missed. You’ll Learn the smallest of details about each house with the lights on. This is how I got my sweetheart to brave the night run. A little daylight takes everything into focus. They do break for lunch in the middle but you’re on your own to choose your dining choice. We use that stack of food cards they give you at the OI meetup. Maximize your experiences. Time is the most precious commodity.

Is that what “woke” means? Park reservations? I’m still so confused about what that actually means, and no one will ever say.
I love taking my grandkids to both parks and never have any problems with Universal or Disney.

Sorry I made a few type of errors. I meant great rides, great perks.
