Say it ain’t so! Good to know we can still order from Knott’s directly, or purchase on a visit. Long live the boysenberry!

    2. Yes, Indeed! My mom used to love Knott’s Berry Farm way more than Disneyland! I love the good old days of the 60s and 70s… I used to live in Southern California for 15 years moved away three years ago and not what’s going down hill for the last 15 years… The original family needs to get back to business! I loved it

Think again. I just went to the Knott’s site, and under “Jams, Syrup, Butters”, they have ZERO products offered. Under the category “Boysenberry Favorites”, they have no boysenberry jams, and the only boysenberry product offered is candy twists.
I don’t know if this is permanent or not, but it appears that they may have stopped selling Knott’s boysenberry jam at Knott’s Berry Farm too.

I just went to the site and there seems to be a number of food products, including boysenberry. So maybe it was temporary.

      1. Fred

Perhaps we went to different sites, because the one I’m checking still has zero jams listed. it’s

Boysenberry pie from the Knott’s Berry Farm Bakery is second to none.

      1. Fred

        Agreed. It’s great.

Well I have to say the fudge is fantastic. The great thing is you can get it in the market place.

I just hope they’ll keep “Knott’s Berry Farm” name as the theme park since Six Flags took over. I’m just concerned they’ll make a slow metamorphosis into another theme park.

Knott’s has been slowly mutating into a Six Flags-style thrill park for decades. starting back in the ’90s when they tore down half of the Marketplace to build the giant Ghostrider coaster, and then ripped out Reflection Lake to put in another giant coaster.
So far, they’ve kept their hands off Ghost Town, the original heart of Knott’s Berry Farm, but they’ve surrounded it with such a collection of towering, noisy coasters, that it’s hard to lose yourself in the Western atmosphere.

Get your facts straight Smuckers bought Hostess.

    So very sad to hear!!

  7. Knott’s used to make my favorite, and it took me way too long to try it, but that is Tomato Jam/preserves! Sounds weird, but it was DELICIOUS!! I miss that… Life goes on. Does anybody have the recipe? I live nearby and the sparkly Knott’s sign on the corner is gone, too. I miss that, too. It was so pretty.

I’ve been looking for that recipe for years.

  8. So disappointed after being a happy Knott’s Berry Farm patron for many years…We went after covid to discover everything had changed. The chicken dinner was awful, the good jelly was gone (we bought the new stuff and were sorely disappointed). We discovered it had been sold and now was like all the other commercial amusement parks…high prices, low quality. Even the gift shop was a disappointment. So sad

I used to be a big fan of the Chicken Dinner Restaurant, but the last time I went it was pretty bland, and rather disappointing. I thought it might have been my imagination, but I see other people have the same reaction.

    2. Damian

Chicken dinner is still the exact same recipe, I think you went in a bad day. We were just there a few weeks ago and the dinner was the same as it has always been.

Knott’s sold it’s food operation to Smuckers a while ago. The quality has gone down since then too. You can order items from their website but they are bad about updating inventory. It’s sad to see this happen. That’s my childhood right there.

The “Knott’s Berry Farm” brand that is sold in markets is not the actual, Knott’s Berry Farm jam. The real, Knott’s jam is actually labeled, “Berry Market” and is sold on location at Knott’s Market.
The fake stuff sold in markets uses corn syrup, while the real Berry Market, uses real sugar.

  12. MDL

It makes sense for Smuckers. Knott’s is a competing brand, so it may have been the plan all along. I’ll just order from Knott’s itself.

  13. Sylvia Stalcup

What does that mean for the now famous “Boysenberry”? Where can I get boysenberry pies and jams???

  14. Derick

As a Southern California local I can assure you locals don’t like it more than Disneyland.

  15. Phillip

Never bought or ate the brand, so it won’t be missed.
