Seems like a reasonable ask to me to see how and why these people were hand picked to lead the district. The last board was elected by the land owners now these people were hand picked by DeSantis. Why wouldn’t the person or company who owns the most land ask for documents as to why these people were selected.
Here’s what people want to ignore. Disney is not fighting a legal battle, they’re fighting a PR battle. Almost none of their lawyers are experts in Florida law or even familiar with special district law as they don’t practice in Florida. Public records law in Florida doesn’t say you get what you ask for. Only that a good faith effort is made and part of that is deciding what is privileged. The state has already turned over 2000 documents (not pages, documents) to Disney. But as the new board said, the state lawsuit is about the contracts and covenants signed by the previous board and Disney. Not DeSantis, not the new board. Disney is following their standard practice of trying to bury their legal opponents in delays and discovery requests. Some of these requests are as broad as mentioning the word “disney”.

Did the people picked for the new board have any say in the contracts signed between Reedy Creek and Disney? No? Then not relevant.

Agree. Kinda makes you wonder!

Talk about a copy/paste comment. Yawn.
