Go woke go broke! It’s starting to happen.

YUP! and its well deserved. In imagineering gut the whole place of anything creative and put in place the woke brigade. Turn everything into princess crapola to pander to the false “boys suck girls rule crowd”. As I have said an infinate number of times Bob Iger and the majority of Disney execs ARE the problem fire them all. But that will never happen….but maybe “if you can dream it you can do it”

As an annual passholder and someone who has paid attention to alot of decisions Disney has made, I think the answers to all of this are somewhat complicated. Anyone who frequently visits the parks, knows that’s its not the same. Cleanliness and the freshness of looks within the parks just isn’t as it was 5 years ago. Is this simply management issues? Your guess is as good as mine. Disney has the power to make things great again but from a financial prospective, they must first liquidate some assets that are weighing them down. Focus on guest experiences within the parks and resorts. Freshen things up and make sure areas are clean. The Magic is in the details.

It has nothing to do with “woke” culture or politics. It has to do with profit margin. The history of the organization was always creative (ideas) versus money (cost). Walt had to argue with Roy to get things done, and Micheal Eisner had Frank Wells until he died. Today there is no real breakthrough creative ideas that push the boundaries of imagination — it’s just money money money and making stock holders happy. Until that changes, Disney is never going to be what it once was.

New investment is needed in Disney, Orlando. They are just doing what at the end are small fix of places with in the parks. While Universal is doing something completely new. It will take away attendance at Disney. A new ride at Disney is not the solution. Keeping investors happy now will not see better income in the future.
