I agree, bring back the true artist to the screen, tired of the same OLD computer technology that a child could do, I want the true artist back with a pen, paint brush and paper!!!
The people today couldn’t handle the original Grimms, nor the original Pinocchio. All of which are very dark. Even the original Little Mermaid had a darkness to it.
And yes, while Disney strayed from the originals with their first versions, it was nothing like the complete obliteration they’re doing with these crappy live versions.
Disney should cut their losses, scrap it, and start over with a new movie and a new screenplay, truer to the original animated classic. Or better yet, scrap it and come up with an entirely new story. Borrow from the Brothers Grimm if you wish, but an original story would be great and surprising. And give the Woke ideology a rest. Read your own SEC filing. Many families in America are not buying the social re engineering that that you are peddling.
DeSantis already tried the anti-woke approach and look how well that’s working out for him. Disney should just keep doing what they’re doing. They’ll be just fine, as always.
No it will not. Wokeness will be a thoughtcrime one day and will land you in Room 101. And when I take over Disney, I will give the names of every single “woke” employee in front of Congress as a communist spy like Walt used to do and get each and every one of them blacklisted. The Cold War is alive and well. McCarthy was right.
You keep saying that until you find yourself in Room 101 with the prospect of rats about to eat your face off or tarantulas are put on your face to exploit your arachnophobia like Kevin McCallister did to Marv.

If they cut her out all together, I’d be fine. Ms. Zegler is on my list of people that won’t get my movie money! I don’t care for entitled people

This will be a flop regardless of any changes. People are tired of live action remakes and Disney refuses to listen to its fan base.

It doesn’t matter either way. I won’t waste my time watching it. Don’t mess with the original!
Dodger
No one’s messing with the original.
However, if by “original,” you mean the Grimm Brothers fairytale, then that was already messed with a LOT…by Disney…in 1937.

I doubt Charlie McCarthy was right. He was famous for being a dummy.

I’m not worried. I’m pretty sure I can take Charlie McCarthy, especially since his literal puppet master Edgar died ages ago.
Not-a-sheep
Yeah… losing $billions$ a year is awesome. LOL
Wokey Dwarf
If you say so. I guess you have experience in that regard, unlike Disney.

Won’t be watching this so don’t bother with fake backpedaling.
