When did it become legal for a state government to be so intrusive and virtually take over a private corporation?
This seems like Communism to me!

EXACTLY!! DeathSantis, the dictato Dictator of Florida! And he wants to be the first American dictator.

      1. Gail Bruce

No, Trump wants to be the first dictator. DeSantis has to get in line!

Yes! It worries me so much. I have always been a proud Republican, but now that they advocate for big government, more restrictions on citizens, less freedom, and control of private companies and education… It’s just so scary!

      Yes! It’s so scary!

I caught this as well. I don’t recall DeSantis infringing on Disney’s right to bear arms. lol

  4. It’s simple . The RCID is not and never was a part of the Disney corporation. The RCID was a subdivision of the State of Florida. The state has the authority, by legislation, to establish, alter, or terminate and subdivision of the state. Disney has no case. Iger admitted in a quarterly call that Disney’s involvement in issues not related to the mission is the main reason for Disney’s current difficulties.

If the state of Florida dissolved your HOA and installed people on the board because you chose to fly the Christian flag… The state would be legally authorized to do that, right? You wouldn’t feel that you were being targeted if the governor said, “Don Marshall will learn to stay out of religion and politics.”

I agree. The CEO was living in CA and thought he would politically defend the gays that work for Disney in Florida. My CEO doesn’t get involved in my political situation. He expects my to stand up for things I agree with or disagree with. The CEO of Disney needs to run the company and bring in a profit for the shareholders and not get involved with the politics of minority employees. Can you imagine the cost to Disney of all these lawsuits when they are already losing money?

      1. Denise

That’s right! Companies should stay out of politics! Just look at the NRA for example… They don’t get involved in politics! Oh wait…

I guess the far right snowflakes like Barb only want companies to have political leaving if it agrees with them. You want a safe space, Barb?

How many pedos does it take to screw in a light bulb at Disney World? What will it take for the blind parents taking their kids to PEDOLAND to wake up? Desantis is a HERO. If you don’t care about your kids, HE DOES!!!!

    1. Gail Bruce

Midniteangel: Your comment is total BS!

      1. Bob

Brucey boy or girl stay away from children

What do you mean? If taken my grandkids to Disney for years and we’ve always felt so very safe.

Why do you feel the state has the right to run people’s lives? Someday your “HERO” may decide it’s your rights that should be taken away. Disney had a contract with the State of Florida which induced Disney to spend billions of dollars, create thousands of jobs and, turn Florida into a major tourist attraction for visitors from around the world. It lived up to its bargain. DeSantis and the State of Florida didn’t.

This is nothing but, revenge. He is a GOVENOR stop treating people like like a DICTATOR! Oh waaaa, they didn’t do what I want. He’s doing nothing to benefit the lives of those who live here. Everything is for him and his whims. From banning books, like the story of Rosa Parks, to men shouldn’t wear high heels. (But he does)
I’m sick of hearing him blather on.
