Trying to recast Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, is like trying to recast Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry. Not only is it impossible, it shouldn’t even be attempted.
It’s disappointing that $384 million is viewed as the movie being a “flop”. Today’s world has become entirely too demanding. Also, it needs to be remembered that many of the folks who loved the movies 40 years ago have since died, so there are fewer original fans left, with not many new ones now bc flashy special effects and the horror genre are what society largely lean towards, sadly. The story isn’t as important anymore.
Personally, I thought the movie was very well done, and it was awesome to see most of the original cast brought back. Very entertaining. 🙂
I enjoyed the movie, but they made such a terrible mistake not bringing back Short Round from Temple of Doom. Instead of Antonio Banderas, Short Round absolutely should have been the diver friend Indy chose to visit in this movie. The actor who played him is an Oscar winner. He absolutely could have come back.
Major turnoff when the black agent called her erring white subordinate a stupid cracker. Such a slur never would be allowed in reverse. I don’t accept a double standard. Racist is racist and it goes both ways.

Chronological order for the movies is “Temple of Doom” then “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

I love Indiana Jones and if Harrison Ford said that’s all then I’d agree with him.No one else could play Indiana.

Jen, I feel the same way as you do. No one can replace Harrison Ford as Indy.
I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark when I was a Sophomore in high school. Now 58, I’m glad I’ve lived long enough to see Dial of Destiny.

Harrison Ford IS “Indiana Jones”! I am not interested in, and I don’t want a replacement!
