The issues with WDW and DeSantis is the result of several issues that never should have happened. Disney should have stayed out of politics of the initial issue. The CEO has the right to disagree but also bears the burden of the consequences from his statements.
DeSantis is a bully and has to realize he is no longer in the military and can not attack to destroy a person or company the way he did in the military.
Disney has offended fans over this and their changes to attractions that supposedly offended others that is the Walts and US history.
I fear Disney is heading to its own demise. Walts dreams are dying.
I don’t think I have a problem with businesses getting into politics. I own a gun and my whole family are members of NRA. If a politician can go after Disney for disagreeing with their policy, how long before the same politicians start going after the NRA?
It just worries me so much that all this happened and what it means for our beautiful country.
Though I agree Disney shouldn’t have made comments against this draconian law, de santis more importantly, clearly attacked Disney!
While he claimed Disney’s special district was unfair, he allowed several others to continue.
He’s has a Napoleon complex. He has attacked multiple industries to grind them under his “lifted” cowboy boots. But, none more than Disney.
This is a clear attack on a persons or corporations first amendment rights. de santis is an authoritarian, plain and simply.
Isn’t it strange DeSantis hasn’t fired Zeigler from this board for admitting she’s bisexuality yet called for her husband to resign his post on republican board. What’s up. Is she your special girl?
DeSantis never criticized Disney until they spoke out politically. The First Amendment says our government can’t punish us for speech. DeSantis has used the government for just that!

Spot on, except for your suggestion that Disney shouldn’t have exercised its First Amendment right to make comments against DeSantis’ “draconian law”.
