I like Tron, it’s exciting and fun. My husband however can’t ride the regular light cycle because his calf won’t fit in the clamp. He’s not that large either. It’s very disheartening that Disney isn’t designing new rides that accommodate everyone. Same goes for Flight of Passage, he can’t ride that either.
Tron is a spectacular ride. It is what Space Mountain might have been had the engineers in 1971 had access to today’s technology. To not fit in the ride, one would have to be morbidly obese. There were 300-400 pound persons in the queue with us who had no problems getting on the machine and being locked in. There is no roller coaster on earth that can accommodate all sizes. The ride is popular, and the virtual queue wait when we got in was over 7 hours. The virtual queue beats standing in line for 7 hours.
We enjoyed the heck out of it. And it does accommodate riders who can’t fit in the cycle cars. It has a standard roller coaster car at the back of some of the trains. We pre-purchased the photo package prior to getting to the park and got a really cool video of us and the other riders when the ride launched.
Tron is just a expensive disappointment to what could have been an incredible thrill ride. Disney truly cutting back on guest expectations. Just like the removal of the Castle Dream Lights
John that is an absolute joke. As someone who is 215 lb, the ride is not adequate to fit for everyone.
It’s literally if your calves are too big. That is the one thing that makes you not be able to ride the ride. I saw people who were at least 100 lb bigger than me still riding because they had less calf muscle.

The original ride is on Shanghai and not Tokyo.
I mean you can’t take a minute to double check your facts on the Internet before posting says everything about your craft as a journalist.
