The problem with a CEO being tasked with creative output in order to rescue Disney is that by nature, businessmen are not particularly creative. The whole list of upcoming Disney releases is compromised of sequels and rehashed stories. Not particularly creative.
As for Marvel’s recent failures, they are in a rut telling pretty much the same story over and over again.
Origin story, Set up to save the world, witty banter in tights, and big battle at the end. Unless you just turned 10 years old you’ve seen this sort of story over and over and over again…..

I did want to see this in the theater, but if i go to a theater, i want to see it in 3d. And by the 2nd week it moved to 2d so im just gonna wait for streaming on Disney Plus. Im general for me, movies at theaters are a thing of the past since my 80 inch tv, given its close distance, is bigger and has a better and brighter 4k picture.

Im really interested in this movie because i watched all the episodes leading up to it, ms marvel, wandavision, secret invasion, etc.

I do think the formula is getting worn. Basically star wars and marvel all follow this formula and i agree original storytelling isnt strong in general in most of hollywood.

Recent donation to Israel was the final nail to his coffin. All my friends in the Middle East cancelled Disney plus and refuse to see Wish. You can’t imagine how much Disney is hated in all Arab countries now. Disney even suspended their own Middle East (Disney MENA) instagram.
